Great location

Bracadale Views Shepherd's Hut is surrounded by stunning sea & mountain views. Enjoy breathtaking 360 views of 2 world renowned mountain ranges: The Cuillins & MacLeod's Tables & achingly beautiful Loch Bracadale. Restore yourself with epic sunrises and sets; if you're lucky, the Northern Lights! Explore our 13 acres of Skye: Golden & Sea Eagles fly overhead or rise early to glimpse our otter! Perfectly located for the Fairy Pools, the Fairy Glen, Talisker Distillery or Dunvegan Castle! Special.

The space
This cosy bijoux Shepherd's Hut, with a charming sheep themed decor, is 20 feet long by 8 feet wide. Compact but perfectly formed, it offers a comfy pocket-sprung divan double bed, with soft white bedding, a big sofa-a place to sit and chill with amazing views plus a small table and two chairs for eating or to work at! There's also a tiny kitchenette with microwave, wee mini fridge, kettle, toaster and small sink. In between meals or working then the table and chairs can be folded up and the chairs hung away on their wall hooks. Proper Shepherd's Hut style!

There is a relaxing ensuite shower room with plenty of towels provided. It comprises a normal mains-plumbed toilet, a little sink and a revitalising electric shower with plenty of mains hot water. Local luxury handsoap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion treats are selected to pamper you! A hair dryer is provided and a heated towel rail for drying your towels.

Outside there is a picnic table and bench on a stone covered patio to sit and enjoy the stunning views of the Atlantic and Loch Bracadale as well as two mountain ranges- 'The Cuillins' and 'MacLeod's Tables'. You can just make out the very edge of 'The Old Man of Storr' too!

The Shepherd's Hut is reached by a convenient stone path through the field from your parking spot on our drive. This means you don't have to get muddy (unless you want to!) There are sheep in the adjoining field and you are most welcome to explore our 13 acres of Skye with panoramic sea and mountain views as well as a plethora of amazing wildlife including Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles and otters!
We look forward to welcoming you to Bracadale Views Skye Shepherd's Hut on the majestic Isle of Skye!

Coming into Struan just takes your breath away! You turn the corner of the road and there it is: the stunning view across Loch Bracadale and out into the Atlantic. Pull into our drive at Bracadale Views and the majestic 'Cuillins' mountains dominate the landscape or turn around and face the 'MacLeod's Tables', turn once more and see the beautiful valley with the homes nestled into the mountainside, reminiscent of the Alps. Here there is space to breathe, to roam and to be. Come!
Just a few minutes walk from Bracadale Views Shepherd's Hut, there is an outstanding Ironage broch with spectacular views from the very top- well worth the climb.
There is a cafe with bookshop 'Bog Myrtle' (a Scottish wild flower) just 5 minutes' walk from Bracadale Views. Or 'The Crofter's Bite' run by our neighbouring croft, offers hot food from their van... mmm! Also 5 minutes' walk. There is a post office and local shop too.

Portree, the capital of Skye, is just 20 minutes very scenic drive across the hills and is full of coffee shops, restaurants, take aways and artisan shops plus a supermarket.

Dunvegan and the Castle is 20 minutes' drive and has plenty of charming cafes and restaurants as well as local produce and the oldest bakery on Skye.

Carbost is 20 minutes' drive from us with coffee shops, cafe, pub, 'The Oyster Hut' and Talisker Whisky Distillery, which you can tour.

Both The Fairy Pools and the Fairy Glen are 20 minutes' drive away in different directions. There are lovely beaches within a short drive including Staffin Bay with dinosaur footprints and a dinosaur musuem. Or enjoy walking in Bracadale Bay at low tide. Golf is 30 minutes' drive.

It's a great central location here at Bracadale Views Shepherd's Hut to explore the Isle of Skye- you can easily reach all its attractions and are surrounded on all sides by the world renowned beauty of the Misty Isle.

I love spending time just listening to the silence on Skye (try it you'll be deafened!) or exploring with my family and two little Border terriers... We love Glenbrittle Beach, Coral Beach, the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr and the Cuillins as well as a coffee, meal or wander in the artisan shops at nearby Dunvegan or Portree and we find Struan the perfect spot to enjoy both town, sea and country plus usually great weather! It seems to have its own little micro climate as we are literally on the extreme west of the UK- next stop across the Atlantic- Canada! We love spending time here watching eagles, otters, whales and seals, historic exploring, mountain tours, boat tours, golf, ceilidhs and festivals and wonderful golden or black sand beaches! We're pretty relaxed and love people, children and dogs! Our home is down to earth, clean and comfy and exudes warmth and calm... That's what we like! Welcome!
