About this listing

Sunny room with a twin bed that is fully furnished with an AC, fan, and some storage space. My doggie and I will be in the other room and we will share a bathroom. BIG eat-in kitchen. 3 unit building. Close to Graham Ave. (the best!)

The space

The apartment still has all the original detailing like tin ceilings, but has been freshly painted. The vibe is tidy, relaxed, sunny and stylish with a laid back touch.

You will have access to the whole apartment, which is the entire 3rd floor. The backyard is private for the 1st floor unit.

I've lived in NYC for 14 years, all over the city, and East Williamsburg is my absolute favorite neighborhood. You are ridiculously close (walking distance) to prime Williamsburg, the cultural/nightlife epicenter of NYC, but just far enough out to notice less crowding, and an overall more relaxed vibe.

You'll be a 5-7 minute walk (passing parks, shops and restaurants/bars) to the L train Graham stop. You're 3 subway stops from the East Village, 5 stops from Union Square and 7 stops from the Meatpacking District/high line. The L also connects to every major train in Manhattan. You can also get the G train nearby to go North to Greenpoint and Queens, or South to the other exciting Brooklyn areas.

If you like to cook, you will love this big open kitchen. I have lots of appliances and ingredients for you to use.

If you'd like to use my bicycle with a basket during your visit, just ask if it's available!

Laundry and a deli are 1 block away, and a great park is only 2 blocks away with picnic tables/grills, exercise equipment/running path, dog park, and tennis and basketball courts, and a skate park.

Guest access

You will have access to all common areas in the apartment. The backyard is private for the 1st floor unit.

Interaction with guests

I promise to go above and beyond to make sure you feel safe and comfortable. I want you to love NYC as much as I do. I also have sweet dog named Winnie, so must like dogs!

House Rules

There are only 2 other units in this building, so we try not to be too loud late into the night out of respect. There's plenty of party around the neighborhood! I like to leave my windows open to listen to the guys below play jazz. I will provide specifics on what is available for use (ie food, toiletries, linens).

I had a great stay at Leslie's place. The apartment is really nice and clean, the location is great and Leslie is super nice and helpful. Also, her dog is the best.

After 6 weeks of staying at Leslie's apartment it was hard to leave my new home! Leslie really tries to make you feel at home in her Williamsburg apartment. She's very easygoing, kind and it really felt like staying at a friends place instead of staying at a rented apartment. Her dog Winnie is so adorable, even my friends that are afraid of dogs didn't mind coming over at mine since she's so tiny and cute. Leslie lives in the most cozy apartment I've ever seen. It has a big kitchen including dinner table and enough space to cook. A cozy living room with a sofabed and tv. I stayed in the room with the twin-bed, which isn't that big, but is very cozy and has enough space to store your clothes and stuff. The apartment is located in East Williamsburg, 5/10 min walk to the metro (in the same street as the metrostop you can also find a juicebar, several coffee places, grocery store, restaurants and bars). It's two stops to central Williamsburg, and about 20/30 minutes to the center of Manhattan (which is practically around the corner in NYC terms). I had a great stay at Leslie's. Thanks again for everything!

Leslie welcomed me at her apartment and was really accommodating. She and Winnie were perfect hosts; helpful and friendly. Leslie gave me lots of advice on the area, and since she wasn't working that day was able to show me around the neighbourhood. The room was big, the bed was large and comfy, and she made me feel able to feel at home. I honestly couldn't ask for a better host. Excellent experience all round.

Leslie was super communicative throughout the whole process and made us feel right at home, would definitely had stayed longer if I had not had to catch my plane.

Although Leslie wasn't there during my trip, I communicated with her roommate who was great and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The pictures looked exactly as the place was advertised and the room was fairly large for being in New York. I would highly recommend staying here!

I'm an artist/adventurer who loves my neighborhood, biking around, watching movies and going to see live stuff. I encourage my house guests to play music, share food and do something creative. While you're in Brooklyn you should go have tacos at la superior. Pura Vida.
