About this listing
Suggestive and spacious (100m) attic apartment. Delightful terrace rooftops, 2 double bedrooms (+ sofa bed), 2 bathrooms, large living area and fully equipped kitchen. in the Old Town center, in the heart of the nightlife, but very quiet.
The apartment is located in the “Città Universitaria”: the liveliest area of the medioeval centre of Bologna, just a few steps away from the Pinacoteca, the Academy of Fine Arts and the Opera Theatre, and a 10-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, the very centre of the city.
The area is close to the station (10 minutes walk) and to the underground parking of Piazza Otto Agosto (5 minutes).
Note that we are in a “limited traffic zone”, so you can not get in front of the house with the car without permission, but you can park in via Irnerio which is 3 minutes away, or in Piazza Otto Agosto Parking (500 mt).
The house is ready to be enjoyed and full of positive energy.
You can enjoy and read every BOOKS but please return it to its place.
DO NOT take out the books from the apartment!
You can enjoy an “aperitivo” on the terrace, from spring to autumn, or explore the city, a worth effort since enjoying the beauty of this medieval city, with its centuries of lives and stories is priceless. In spring or summer evenings, from the terrace you can enjoy the notes of the jazz festival that takes place just below the apartment; this is perhaps the only sound that reaches the house because one of his strengths is definitely the full quiet and tranquillity (the apartment windows are not facing the street but an internal patio).
I will try to welcome all guests personally to introduce the house and the area: since I live between Bologna and Torino, in case I won’t be there a person who knows the house perfectly. I am in any case always reachable by email or phone: I speak Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Our guests will have access to the entire apartment, including the large terrace (where up to 6 people can eat). Guests will find in the house a city map and other material on the major attractions of Bologna, as well as clean linens, soap and hair dryer, AirCon is available only in the roof-top room. Fast wireless internet connection is of course available.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, cookware, dishes, kettle, coffee machine and a few complimentary things for breakfast (milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, etc).
The house is equipped with a washing machine, an iron and a ironing board.
It is important for us to know as early as possible the time of check in.
The university area is very lively and full of shops, bars and restaurants. In the street of teh apartment, you’ll find a multiplex cinema as well as the two most famous jazz clubs of Bologna with live music every night. The house, however, is extremely quiet because it overlooks completely on the inside.
Food in Bologna is a serious matter: a few doors by, you’ll find the pizzeria which is considered by many the best in town, in front of the house the historic trattoria "Annamaria" famous for its tagliatelle, and a few meters from the house several restaurants, osterie, ice cream shops.
The house is a 10-minute walk away from the Central Train Station, from where you can reach Florence in less than an hour, Venice in one hour and 1/2, Milan in one hour, Rome in two hours. Just 200 metres from the aprtment is the Aerobus stop for the airport of Bologna (25 minutes).
A few steps from the house there is a taxi station, and by bus (the bus stop is just a few hundred meters from the house) in 15 minutes can reach Bologna Fiere (exhibition area).
We are in an area forbidden to cars, but you can park in via Irnerio, which is 3 minutes walk.
Guests are requested not to bother the quite of the neighbors, especially in the evening and at night, and to respect the house, its objects and its spaces. We deem important to be informed in advance if guests decide to organize any event involving other people inside the house.
