So - basically it is hard for me to write an objective review. The flat may well correspond to what others have said, as it is spacious, clean and well-situated in Cagliari. My wife is from Cagliari and I lived there for 9 years so we know the city well and the location is good, even if it does not seem totally central. However, the flat should absolutely not have been let given the conditions surrounding it. The flat below was being re-built entirely and was a building site, and from 08.00-17.00 every day there was a horrendous noise of hammers, drills and scaffolding being put up, etc., etc. We have a one-year-old son who was unable to sleep at all during this time which made the holiday a nightmare. The central stairwell of the building was also having large sections of plaster knocked out with hammers to fit new water pipes. The water coming from the shower, bath and sink in the bathroom was filled with tiny bits of something dirty, I assume perhaps iron from the pipe work. The lift and the central staircase were completely filled with extremely fine cement or plaster dust. To have this kind work ongoing below a flat let for holidays is, I'm afraid, not acceptable. Cinzia did not make us pay for two extra nights (which we decided to stay as we arrived early in Cagliari due to our son being ill) but we paid the rest of it and I would have happily paid three times as much to have had a relaxing holiday - but it was not to be. We would have flown home early but we were unable to find seats together on the flights to London.

Response from Cinzia:
Dear Alister, I'm very sorry, obviously you are right. Your problem was a problem of any apartment in the building, generated by two concurrent and unfortunate events: 1) there was an unexpected breakdown at the water provisioning of the entire building and it took several days to be resolved 2) there was a construction works on the floor below, unknown to us in advance Our prices were very cheap (25€/person) for an apartment of 90 sqm in the full center of Cagliari, the apartment and the linen was clean at your arrive and 2 extra days were free of charge for your troubles and noises. Honestly I don't know what I would have done more. Best regards

Our experience was terrific and Cinzia was an excellent host. We were delayed on our arrival with hire car issues and although we kept Cinzia waiting she was very welcoming and spent some time with us providing information on Cagliari. There was a map and info in the apartment. The apartment was bright and airy and comfortable for us. Cinzia booked a taxi for our early morning departure and came to see us off and get the key at 5:45 am with a smile.

Large, nice, cozy and good located apartment, very clean and equipped with everything you need. The location is very convinient - the historical center is near (about 100 metres), the sea is near, and there are restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood. Cinzia was very kind. She was reachable during the stay and responded quickly. We had a great time in Cagliari!
