Our cosy vintage shepherd’s hut is ideally located as a base to explore the Southwest or for a stopover en-route to Devon and Cornwall. Situated 5-10 minutes from the A303.

Seaside towns of Lyme Regis and West Bay just 45 minutes drive. Haynes Motor and Fleet Air museums are just 20 mins drive. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey hole caves approx an hour’s drive.

We are surrounded by cider apple orchards; please respect the footpaths and obey the country code, keeping dogs on leads when near livestock.

The space
Our traditionally built hut is perfect as a cosy getaway with a double bed and kitchen space. Outside there is a sheltered sun trap, perfect for breakfast or sundowners, with sunset views towards Burrow Hill. There is a traditional log burner inside and we also have a fire pit outside for chilly evenings and stargazing.

Cold water is supplied to the hut in large carry bottles. We provide a kettle, toaster and single induction hob for basic food preparation, but there is also a gas BBQ available for your use. There is an undercounter fridge with small freezer compartment.

The shower room is situated inside the main farmhouse, just 30-40 steps from the hut. Whilst the shower room refurbishment is finished, the entrance is still a work in progress, please bear with us.

In addition to the main shepherds hut we have available for hire a small traditionally built gypsy wagon, a perfect exciting sleeping option for a single person or child.

Please message if you would like to add this to your booking.

In addition we can accommodate extra guests by allowing camping or a campervan so do message if you would like to explore this option.
