The apartment was remodeled and completed in 2015 specifically with our Airbnb guests in mind. Our home has maintained its vintage charm while being painstakingly remodeled with all the modern amenities. You will have a private four-room suite to yourselves with a separate private entrance. There is a comfortable, quiet bedroom with a pillow-top queen bed and a closet for your belongings. Your living room has ample seating, a sofa that can serve as two twin beds, a leather recliner and a 40” television with Netflix and other services. The private bath has a large 4ft shower with a rain shower-head. The kitchenette is well-stocked including a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, electric teakettle [please note there is no stove] and service for 4. We supply you with coffee, tea and everything you might need to get going in the morning. There is a private guest WiFi network throughout the space. We also supply an iron and ironing board and hairdryer. If there are any additional supplies you need to make your stay more comfortable just let us know!
The space is most comfortable for two people and can accommodate up to four on two West Elm Tillary sofas that can be used as twin beds. Children are welcome.
Your private apartment entrance, accessed by keyless entry is attached to the first floor of our home with a short flight of stairs down to the independent 400sq ft suite. This space is exclusively for guests. There is generous, semi-private outdoor space. On-site laundry facilities may be available for guests on longer stays.
If you have a car, there is plenty of on-street, no time limit or permit required parking and we can offer a reserved private driveway spot for an additional fee.

We love our city and joined airbnb to share it with you! We are often on site or just a phone call away should you need assistance. We love to offer suggestions for exploring all that our neighborhood and city has to offer. We can tell you where to find the best Portland cuisine on just about any budget, from food carts to fine dining or where to purchase that special gift for that special someone.

Retaining it’s classic charm of tree-lined streets this coveted residential neighborhood claims some of Portland’s best amenities. One block to the world-renowned Pok Pok restaurant and just a few more steps are a variety of bars, bakeries and restaurants. There is something for every palate including Ava Gene’s, Roman Candle, Broder, Nuestra Cocina, St. Honore Boulangerie, Bollywood Theatre, Cibo, and Tidbit Food Pod with over a dozen of the city’s best food carts! Follow it up with some of the best artisanal ice cream at Salt and Straw or 50 Licks. Need to pick up some groceries or snacks to have around the apartment? New Season’s Market, Zupan’s, People’s Food Co-op, or the Clinton Corner Market are just a short stroll away. Looking for exercise? Take a run through the neighborhood or a few laps around the Cleveland High track. There are three yoga studios close by [offering drop-in classes] and several Pilates and exercise studios near by. Get your shop on by visiting the wide-variety of boutiques including the Lodekka Bus..a double-decker bus turned into a vintage shop! Need to relax? Head to Loyly for a relaxing sauna or massage or take in a movie at the Clinton St. Theater.
With a Walk Score of 83, our place is steps to many of Portland's finest restaurants. Being centrally located in Portland inner Southeast, we earned a Bike Score of 85 being just 1/2 a block from the Clinton Bike Boulevard. We are a block from a major bus lines making getting to downtown and other neighbors easy. As we like to say, you are 15 minutes from anywhere in town.
Other things to note
While you have an independent unit with a separate entrance, we do live above you. But with no four legged pets, kids or wooden soled shoes we tread lightly. We are a quiet couple and make every effort to keep noise to a minimum. Being working professionals we have early nights and overall we promise to do everything we can to keep it quiet.
Please note there is a short flight of stairs and the apartment is not handicapped accessible.
Cleaning: With our high level of attention to detail and cleanliness you will always find the apartment spotless upon your arrival. Your cleaning fee covers a thorough cleaning of the entire apartment as well as laundering of all linens. We reserve the right to charge additional cleaning fees if excessive messes are left behind. Please leave the space as close to how you found it as possible. Our property is 100 percent smoke free within the apartment and all outdoor areas. There is a $250 recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.
- Check-In 4PM/Check-Out 11AM. Please check-out on time. Late check-outs may be charged a fee equal to the nightly rate.
Please let us know if early check-in or late check-out is needed and we will do our very best to accommodate based on availability.

We are a fun-loving, professional couple with a passion for our town! I (Chuck) am a Director for a Software Company, Photographer, Home Cook, Self-proclaimed Mixologist and Runner. Annika is a Dietitian, Baker, Knitter and Purveyor of Portland’s Boutiques. I came to the Rose City 16 years ago via Santa Cruz, CA and NYC. Annika moved from Idaho to Portland over 8 ago and we married in March of 2014 surrounded by friends, family and a marching band! We are long-time residents of the quiet, yet vibrant Richmond neighborhood owning and extensively remodeling our home for over 10 years. Portland is where we love to staycation and we dig exploring everything from our town, to the coast, to the Gorge and high-desert beyond.
