Description

The space

The Nomad Living Villa is located on a hilltop overlooking beautiful Bahia Honda, a tranquil bay between the islands of Solarte and Bastimentos in the Bocas del Toro Archipeligo. This waterfront oasis sits on 12 acres of lush jungle and private gardens. About a 15 minute boat ride from Bocas town, it is the perfect escape for those looking for pure rest and relaxation or a homebase for those seeking action and adventure with a quiet place to settle each evening.

This expansive home includes seven bedrooms, five of which have a private bath and entrance. Our guests are free to enjoy the large veranda area at their convenience. And for the digital nomad, there is free wifi for internet throughout the Villa.

A healthy tropical breakfast is served each morning complete with coffee and tea service. We also have a full bar and fine wines available for your purchase. For other meals, we will be happy to suggest local restaurants, arrange transportation and make reservations for you. There may be the opportunity to join us on the veranda for lunch or dinner at an additional cost.

Whether for a family reunion, a friends getaway adventure or a working vacation, the Nomad Living Villa is perfect for groups. Please inquire if you would like to combine rooms, rent one floor or the entire Villa for your group. We can not accept children under the age of 15 unless the entire Villa is rented by the accompanying family.

For a stress free vacation, options are available for maid service, laundry service and private boat tours for an additional charge.

Note: Please inquire about availability even if the calendar shows us as full, we have 7 rooms available!

Guest access

Once you are settled into your secure, private room, all guests will have access to the spacious veranda, tropical gardens and jungle trails.

Free wifi is available throughout the Villa

Water sports equipment is available and free for guests to use. This includes kayaks, standup paddle boards, and snorkeling equipment.

Interaction with guests

We live in the Villa and are available as needed. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing this beautiful place. We are usually around, especially in the morning and evening, to talk to you about organizing an adventure or to arrange a private massage therapist or yoga instructor to come to the Villa just for you.

The neighbourhood

Whether relaxing and enjoying the views from our veranda, strolling the tropical garden paths or dolphin watching from one of our docks, you will feel at home from the moment you arrive at the Nomad Living Villa. It is easy to feel like you are alone with nature at Nomad Living Villas. Although, in less than 15 minutes you could be in Bocas town, Bastimentos town, or at Red Frog Beach, with all the restaurants, bars and action they have to offer. Around the bay there are several excursions to consider: La Loma Chocolate Farm Tour, Red Frog Beach's Zipline Canopy Tour, Bastimentos Food Forest Tour and Timorogo's Creek and Bat Cave Tour to name a few. Also dotted around the bay are restaurants with various offerings from gourmet to local Panamanian cuisine.

There are many other kinds of exciting excursions on offer in the archipeligo, including, but not limited to; snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, surfing, jungle hiking, sailing, and horseback riding.

Getting around

Getting to Nomad Living Villa: When you're ready to come out, go to the Bastimentos Boat Dock (Boteros de Bastimentos between Bocas Marine Tours and Chow Kai Hardware Store) on Calle 3, the main street in Bocas town. Ask for a boat to the Nomad Living Villa and they will bring you to our dock. The fare for 1 or 2 people should be $10, each additional person is $5.

The Bocas del Toro Archipeligo is a maritime community, small boats called pangas are the primary transportaion vehicle. Isla Colon, where Bocas town and the airport located, is the only island which has roads and cars. There are car taxis in Bocas town, most in town fares are $1 per person. Water taxis are available on many well traveled routes in the islands. Private boats with captains are also available for hire, with fares varying depending on the kind of excursion. There are group tour boats and shuttles available for getting around and for adventures, these fares also vary. We are happy to suggest the appropriate transport for your planned excursions.

At the Villa, we have kayaks and standup paddleboards available for exploring our coastline, the mangrove islands in Bahia Honda or cruising across the bay to the entrance of the famous Red Frog Beach. All we ask is that you have them back before dark in the same condition you took them in.

Other things to note

While we are in paradise, things aren't always perfect. Please report any malfunctioning equipment or problems immediately to us, we will do our best to repair or replace.

We do understand that accidents happen. If something is broken or lost, please notify us as soon as possible. With more expensive items, there may be a fee for replacement. If there are any questions, please ask.

House Rules
Check-in is after 1PM

We ask that you please treat the Nomad Living Villa as you would your own home. There are private residences nearby. Please respect their privacy and property.

The Nomad Living Villa is totally off-grid. We rely on rain water for all our water needs from bathing to laundry. The sun charges our batteries every day for all our electrical uses. Please respect that while these systems are amazing, they are not limitless and conserve when possible. For example, daytime with strong sun is the best time for charging all those electronic devices. Don't worry, we'll be there to let you know when we have abundance, or when we need to be careful to conserve either water or electricity.

There are other guests staying at the Villa, so we ask that noise be kept down after 10:00p.m.

No smoking indoors.

We discourage storing drinks or snacks in your room. We have insects who would like to share. We can provide secure storage for these items in the kitchen. If you do eat in your room, please clean all surfaces completely afterwards.

Pets are not allowed.
