The meals are taken in the house or outside on the picnic table / fire place, while I serve the guests company. Questions can be answered and business ventures discussed. Apart from accommodation and catering, I also offer trips to Backcountry.

Other things to note

The Cedar Trails Guest Farm, as my late husband and I have called our little tour business, has existed since 1996. Since then we have looked after many German holidaymakers. I am still in touch with a few of them, and some of them have come back several times. One year after Dale's death, I decided to take the guests to the tour and to go on trips again with the help of friends who are concerned about the canoes and the fishing. With us - I still say us - everything is very simple, and that is exactly what our guests love. The perfect, comfortable holiday, where everything runs like clockwork, you will not find with us, rather an involuntary adventure. But there is no stress with us. We go things slowly and comfortably. People who love the peace and solitude, as well as nice socializing and good food, in beautiful nature and fresh air, away from traffic and industry want to relax and are willing to forgo some comfort, will definitely come at their expense .

Jutta's hospitality and mushroom-shaped/ hobbit-hole cabins are absolutely magical. Do not do what we did and only stay one night, but if a night is all you have it's still worth it. We rented both cabins for our family of five at Jutta's suggestion. They are quite small so renting both was perfect with my husband and son in the queen bed in one, and our two daughters with me in the other (two of us in the queen and the other in a cot). The cabins are a short path walk from each other with the cleanest, cutest outhouse in the world in between. Jutta lives just down the hill from the cabins where she cooks amazing meals for her guests. We were only passing through so our time was short but Jutta made us feel very welcome, sharing stories of her life in BC with us. Our kids loved exploring her property. We hope to return and spend at least a few nights, with Jutta as a guide on some backcountry hikes. This is a must-stop for travelers looking for an off-the-beaten path experience with a welcoming local guide.

We've had the most beautiful stay and experience at Jutta's cabins. She is a very kind host and thanks to her, we have a lot of great memories of our stay there. The whole atmosphere was very familial. Thank you so much! Apart from that, the cabins are as pictured, as is the scenery. For nature-lovers, this is perfect. We highly recommend Jutta's airbnb and would always love to come back!

Jutta's place is delightful! The cabin is a magical little house with a stunning view! We enjoyed breakfast with Jutta each morning and got to experience her delicious baking - if you have the opportunity enjoy a meal or two with Jutta you will enjoy the food and the company! Thanks Jutta for a lovely stay!

Our host Jutta was lovely and accomadating. Her meals are hearty and delicious, she sourced almost all local ingredients such as local eggs and honey, organic beets and delicious honemade jam, bread, and muffins. If you come to Edgewood I highly recommend you dont miss out on her excellent cooking! The views from the yurts are spectacular, with our "visitors" including nesting Canada geese, whitetail deer, songbirds and bluejays, and Archie the neighbours small dog (who insisted we introduce ourslves, once he knows you are Juttas guest you'll be showered in kisses!). We stayed for 4 days and it would have been comfortable to stay much much longer! If you are seeking simple, quiet and rustic accom, this is an excellent choice. Though we did not take any tours this time, Jutta is remarkably knowledgable about the surrounding area and I recommend any traveller take advantage of her adventurous spirit and opportunity for personalized tours. Thank you Jutta!

Jutta was a lovely host. The food was delicious! The cabin was minimilistic, but everything we required. Definitely rustic, not for those who need serious amenities. But perfect for us! :)

I'm a German author, writing fiction for Bastei Verlag since 1981. I live in the Monashee Mountains of British Columbia since 1982.

I love writing but even more I love accommodating tourists and taking them on tours. That's where my heart is -- out there, in our beautiful back country.

My hobbies and interests include hiking, backroad tours, camping, canoeing, the great nature in general, photography, cooking, winter activities, music and movies.

Mein Herz ist *out there*, draußen in der Natur.

Meine Hobbys sind Wandern und Bergsteigen, 4x4-Touren, Kanu fahren, die großartige Natur überhaupt, Fotografieren, Kochen, Winteraktivitäten, Musik und Filme.
