The space

Our house is warm and inviting. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, and if you bring additional friends the couch folds out into a bed. The kitchen is fully stocked by someone who likes to cook - or if you like to eat out you are literally steps away from one of the best French bakeries in town.

Guest access

Guest will have access to the full ground floor of the house, the back yard and will have a key to the basement to do laundry. Parking off street, in the private driveway is provided.

Interaction with guests

We are happy to answer any questions via email or through Airbnb, and will be available by text or phone while you are staying with us. We will likely not be in town when you are here so we might not meet in person.

The neighbourhood

We are in the heart of SE Portland, which offers a little bit of everything. There are two really fun and unique "destination" shopping areas less then a mile away. Plus a smattering of bars and restaurants blocks away. You can also enjoy an urban getaway by heading up to Mt Tabor Park - where trees and trails abound.

Getting around

There are bus stops for the 14 and the 4 buses 1/2 a block away that can take you over to Hawthorne, further down Division or into downtown. I recommend the PDXBus app for planning your transit trips and tracking your bus arrival in real-time.

Other things to note

Our house is a duplex, so the upper floor is rented by our long-term (14 years!) tenant. She is friendly and quiet and it's rare that you are even aware there is someone above you.

My wife and I were visiting my daughter and granddaughter in SE Portland and Debbie's home was perfect in terms of location and size and she was very responsive to our questions. Her spot is just off Division which has many restaurants and nightspots with a convenience store for essentials right around the corner. We'd definitely stay here on our next trip to Portland! Debbie's home is even more spacious and well appointed in person. The full 1st floor home is perfectly situated along SE Division which makes for great walking to restaurants, cafes, shops, and other neighborhoods of Portland. We had a wonderful time staying at Debbie's and her communication was excellent. I would certainly stay there again.

Air BnB never disappoints! I think this home made our stay in Portland so wonderful. The home is beautiful. There are so many cool details that we loved exploring not just the city but the home itself. Debbie was a gracious host. Her instructions were clear and perfect. She was super accommodating to our check-in request. When you come in you're welcomed with a gift card to an amazing french restaurant/bakery. we went there 3 times because it was SO good. I highly recommend staying here. It's walking distance to a lot of great eateries and bars. Really quick drive or uber ride to other parts of Portland. LOVED it!

I was very pleased with Debbie and her rental. We particularly loved her well appointed kitchen, the location, and the cozy, eclectic decorating. Even our pooch felt at home immediately. I will definitely try to stay here on my next visit.

Debbie allowed us to check in early, which was incredibly helpful since it was Christmas Eve and we had our fur kids in tow. She also left us a gift card to the bakery next door, and was available for communication via text.

I stayed at Debbie's house over Thanksgiving along with my husband, brother, brother's girlfriend and their little dog. The location is awesome and Debbie's house was so cozy and cute. Check in was easy and she had everything ready for us. I am definitely going to try and book Debbie's house the next time I'm in Portland.

Debbie User ProfileDebbie is a superhost.

My husband Todd, our labrador Bebe and I enjoy living in our cozy nest in Portland. We also love to travel and see the world and spend a lot of time on the Oregon coast. We can often be found surfing, paddleboarding, running and camping. We are both self-employed and enjoy a pretty flexible schedule which lets us open up our home to you. When we are home we enjoy cooking meals, gardening and spending time with friends. We also love collecting art and other interesting stuff, especially when it means supporting our artist friends, so you'll find lots of unique and original touches in our home.
