Get there early. After paying fees at tourist centre for boat (3500php between 6 plus BIO guide & reservation fee) watch a short video then wait to be called to a BIO and his boat. Very quickly we managed to spot, enter water and snorkle with Whale Shark and what an amazing experience it was. I would recommend this in preference to Oslo as your experiencing these in their natural environment with much less interference from us pesky humans. We got very close to these amazing creatures but it's difficult not to considering you drop into water whilst boat is slowing down by a WS then fin out with your guide. I looked down and was directly above one which I wasn't sure I should have been altho I moved aside very quickly so not to disturb or get near it's coadal fin.

We didn't really know what to expect when staying here, but it was much better than we thought. Norma took care of everything, she was constantly in contact beforehand, arranged someone to pick us up from the airport and take us to the house. The house was amazing, right on the beach and so peaceful. There isn't much nearby in terms of restaurants so we opted to have our meals at the house. The food was amazing! And the Portions were enormous and it was really cheap too. Three days breakfast, lunch and dinner was less than the price of one meal. We went swimming with whale sharks, went snorkelling, took a row boat out on the sea and went quad biking or some days we just relaxed by the sea or in the pool. Norma was so nice that it was like staying with family. It was a lovely trip and I would definitely return. This would be a great place for someone to unwind and be creative but it's also suitable for couples and families too. Thanks Norma. You are welcome in London anytime

I went to Normal place with 8 people. From before we arrived, Norma and I were in constant contact trying to organise our trip. She was very helpful. We arrived at the villa quite late but Norma was there to let us in and show us around Norma was an amazing host and made us feel right at home. The food was really good and she made us feel like we were part of her family. Having 8 25-30 year old around couldn't have been easy but she accommodated us all and made our trip very memorable.

What an incredible experience. Norma was the most welcoming host, her food was divine, especially her prawns! The villa was amazing; we were the only ones there and nothing was ever too much trouble for Norma she was so accommodating. The staff were also very friendly and I couldn't recommend it more. The perfect place to stay if you are going to see whale sharks!

Great host and very cute house. Norma is so sweet and really wants you to have a nice stay. Only issue was the room had no AC, which was hot. Just something to note for future guests.

A great spot to be based near whale shark centre. Our host Norma was a delight. Pool was great and meals excellent. The area has a lot more going for it than just whale shark interaction.
