Our house is your house here in Sunny Bahia! We are a young couple who love to host visitors and will be happy to make your stay comfortable. Ours is a simple historical home with panoramic ocean views located right on the carnaval route. Welcome!

The space

The home is called the Santa Teresa House. It's quite historic and is mentioned in the Jorge Amado book, War of the Saints. Our space is simple and airy with rustic Bahian charm. We keep our space very clean and tidy to ensure that positive energy flows freely.

Guests will have full access to the kitchen. We cook frequently and you're welcome to join in during the preparation and enjoying of meals. You can use our washing machine for 10 Reais per load and hang dry on the patio.

We will be present during your stay, and can interact with you in whatever way is most comfortable for all. We are definitely sociable people and would love to get to know the person who stays with us as well as offer tips and make sure that you are all squared away during your stay. That being said - we understand if some people are more introverted and enjoy space to be on their own. Either way, we are pretty easygoing and will roll with the punches.

We like our neighborhood as it is close to the open air market of Dois de Julho as well as museums and the historical area - Pelourinho. This really is one of the most important quintessential neighborhoods in Salvador and is a hub for many other AirBnB properties.

It`s right on the carnaval route, which is great for those wishing to partake in the festivities.

It is a neighborhood in the Centro area - and like all Salvador neighborhoods in the center of town, petty crime is an issue. During Carnaval time it will be especially important for you to stay alert and use your common sense to stay safe. We will certainly help you get oriented and do our best to make sure you know how to move about this area.

There are many buses and taxis that pass in front of our home. We can help you get it figured out!

Staying with Gabby and Lucas was an amazing experience full of so much positive energy. They were super helpful with directions and advice on where to go and what to do. They even took us to a jazz night which the average tourist would never find. You need to use common sense in Salvador when it comes to personal safety but the place was secure and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Staying at Gabrielle's was the very best choice! She has a lovely, cozy place. It's perfect to calm down and take a rest after exploring crazy Salvador! The arrogant cat :-b and the cute turtle complete this small little world in this flat. Apart from that, Gabrielle is a warm hearted and also inspiring person, interested in a lot of topics. Don't miss to have a chat with her, it's more than worth it! Also, thank you Gabrielle of having taken care of my injured foot! It got better very fast afterwards ;)

I love traveling, learning about new cultures, and doing things to make the lives of others just a bit better if I can.
