Two bedrooms and bathroom with private access, attached to new and modern home, sitting in a private tree-lined acre overlooking Coronet Peak and Remarkables Mountains. In Lake Hayes Estate- a quiet residential area, 15minutes from Arrowtown and central Queenstown.

The space

Base rate for 1-2 people, $50/night per additional person, Beds for 5, maximum 4 adults please

Living the rural lifestyle so close to town amenities, your part of the house is very separate from ours with private access. There is no access to the rest of the house, but breakfast facilities are available in the hallway.

10mins drive from the airport and Queenstown's main shopping complex Remarkables Park, a short walk to the local café/restaurant/bar/grocer 'Graze', and close to the Queenstown Bike trail, walking tracks and the karawau river, 5mins drive to the closest winery 'Amisfield' and 15mins drive from Queenstown's centre.

Guest access

King sized bedroom, and/or three single beds in the bunkroom, spacious bathroom, portacot available, separate entrance, tea, coffee, toast and cereal facilities in the hall. There is no access to the rest of the house, no kitchen, no lounge, and no laundry, however in the guest area there are plates and bowls, cups, cutlery etc to prepare breakfast. There is a small fridge for storing milk and other cold goods.
If you need to do a load of washing let us know, and we can arrange it if we are home.
Pets are negotiable but we need to okay this prior to the booking.
There is an acre of land and a lovely private area of garden outside the sliding doors to your room...

Interaction with guests

Working and looking after our three year old daughter keeps us pretty busy so chances are you won't see a lot of us, but if we are about we are happy to chat and give you advice about the local area!

Other things to note

We have a tree house with a slide and flying fox, which we would advise you to take extreme care with it as it is very fast and requires strict adult supervision, if you would like to use it for children it is at your own risk. Please place the cushions at the bottom of the slide.
The guest area sleeps 2-4 people comfortably, in my opinion it's pretty cosy with 5!!! This accommodation has tended to suit guests who are planning on being out and about during the day, and taking advantage of the local restaurants at night.

My Friend and I had a nice stay at Holly's. We only stayed one night but the place was just what we needed. Holly also let us have the other room which was welcome as nice to have some space after travelling for a while. The accom is separate from the main house and clean and tidy. The bathroom is better than the one I have at home! Poppy the Dog is lovely and welcoming too! Would recommend.

We felt very at home here. Holly was so friendly and looked after us with breakfast goodies and warm rooms. She went out of her way to make sure our kids were comfortable and answered our questions quickly too. So easy to get to skiing and Arrowtown from Holly's without the drama of central Queenstown traffic.

Holly's place is clean, comfortable and modern in a quiet location but in easy driving distance of Queenstown and Arrowtown and other local attractions. Fantastic shower!

Holly's house is very nice and warm, and thewhole night my daughter does not want to be covered by the quilt , which is made of goose fur. everything in the house works very well, and it is very quiet in the night, sleep very well! She is also very nice and considerate, as no kitchen in the house, she prepared bread, milk and so on, to save our breakfast time. plus even beer in refrigerator. if you plan to have a rest outside Queenstown, and no cooking yourself, do not hesitate to contact Holly!

I am a local dentist who loves travelling, and the outdoors- mountain biking, running, skiing and river jet boating. We are a pretty busy family but happy to chat and advise guests on the local area.
