Olivia and I hired a fiat 500 and drove from Geneva to Saint Gervais les Bains (around 70minutes) The Route du Parion can be found just off from the one way system (passing the tourist information center on your left). Follow the road up the side of a mountain face, over the tram line and around a number of tight bends. The road is narrow and windy. The fiat 500 did struggle when meeting oncoming traffic but once you get the hang on things it's easy. At the top of the road there is a car park which is very safe to leave your vehicle. On arrival our host took Olivia and I the last 500m up the stone roadway in their 4x4. The chalet is hidden from view behind trees but with an epic view over the whole landscape. The chalet is full of quirks and artifacts all adding the ambience. The bedroom on the ground floor has a built in wardrobe, doorway leading to the front of the property, a partition stone wall with picture frame cut out for a nifty gas flamed feature, a bathroom with a his and hers sink, a bath and a seperate toilet. The area is clean, bright and relaxing. Up the steps leads you to an open plan kitchen/dinner/sitting area complete with a wood burner and an outdoor patio. The kitchen is fully equipped for the avid microwave cook to the next master chef! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and espresso shots which were two very greatly received presents! There is a second toilet found beside the kitchen. Opposite this is a staircase leading to a second bedroom complete with its own copper bath! The chalet has a TV complete with a DVD player and a number of DVDs for light entertainment in the evenings. Notes We would advise buying food in one of the large supermarkets off the A40 en route. We would advise hiring a car as taxis are quite difficult to get hold of Walk a further 250m up the stone roadway and the views just keep getting better. The chalet is about 20mins drive from Miegieve The property was considerably higher in standard than some of the other members of the groups accommodation. This property is perfect for couples or even two couples and worth every penny. We look forward to coming back again!

If you're looking for a quiet hideaway in the hills, then this place is perfect. The chalet is an amazing place and perfect for a romantic getaway. The rooms are bigger than they look in the pictures and it's the little touches that make this chalet unique. The master bedroom is beautiful with a lovely Japanese bath and great layout. The living room has a fantastic wood burner and good kitchen and again is just beautiful. Thoroughly recommended if you're looking for something quiet, out of the way, in nature and a place that is quite unique. The chalet is located a 5-10 minute drive up a windy mountain road from the village of St Gervais Les-Bains, so unless you're a keen walker, or plan to arrive and not leave for the duration of your trip, I think a car is pretty essential (though taxis may be possible, I'm not sure). There's also a short but steep walk (about 10 mins) up a dirt track from the car park to the chalet, but it's worth it. The hosts were helpful in advance and made sure we were comfortable during.

Our hosts were fantastically helpful even before we arrived. Whilst we were deciding where and what kind of accommodation would suit us for our honeymoon they offered continueous advice, support and patiently waited on our last minute decisions. On our arrival at the car park after further support in directing us through unfamiliar streets and roads we were excited to meet out host mounting a quad bike which would transport our luggage up the short track to the chalet. Our hosts were as excited to guid us around as we were to explore all of the rooms, which were noticeably larger in real life than the pictures we had viewed. We new instantly that we were going to be completely content during our stay and could only have wished for our time here to be longer. The atmosphere was so relaxing, very peaceful in a location that could have been mistaken for being a hundred miles from anywhere. Everything about the chalet was better than we could have asked for or dreamed of, with beautiful bespoke interior, snow covered woodlands surrounded by wonderful views of the mountains. We will definitely come back and visit again. We would recommend it to everyone.

Response from Anjana:
Thank you so much guys. We really enjoyed the fact that you were so active but enjoyed the chill out vibe too. And that our photos can only get better as we carry on upgrading. Come back soon.
