Most of the time and whenever we can, we will welcome you personally.
Should it not be possible, you will have access to the keys in a very simple and flexible way, and possible delays of your arrival will not be a problem.
We speak German, French, English, Spanish, Mandarin and understand most Italian - even if the answers turn into Spanish! :) And of course, we speak hands and feet and drawings or whatever will be necessary to communicate.
The neighbourhood is full of charms. You'll find nice cafés and restaurants, art galleries and tiny design stores around Ackerstrasse, all at walking distance. It's not the yelling excitement of the Altstadt, and some people compare it to Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg.
For joggers and walkers: The city forest Grafenberger Wald is only two stops away. There is also a gulf course and a racecourse.
Everyday items like food are available at nearby supermarkets and stores at walking distance.
Opposite to the flat, you will find a petrol station open 24 hours that also sells beverage and food.
Please have a look at our guidebook, we made it for you!
The Hanielpark Apartment is very well located in terms of mobility. Several trams and buses lead you from the stop "Engerstrasse", located 150 m from the apartment, to all important locations as:
Centre direct in 6 - 7 minutes

In the airport, ask for Mc Donald's and from there, take the elevator to the S-Bahnhof/station for regional trains. Take S11 to stop S-Wehrhahn, get off and take any of the trams departing from the same street side to stop "Engerstrasse".
Apartment to Messe Düsseldorf = trade centre in about 25 minutes
a) Bus 834 to Theodor-Heuss-Brücke, then U78 oder U79,

By car, the airport and the Düsseldorf Messe, Düsseldorfs fair trade center, are only 15 minutes away.
Taxis are waiting at the taxi stop just opposite the apartment and if not, they arrive within a few minutes if you dial the Düsseldorf prefix and five times the three.
You will find a public place for your own car at no fee in the surrounding streets.
Considering the excellent connections by public transport in around the city, it's rather not useful to rent a car. It's faster and cheaper to move around with public transport, and you'll save the parking fees. Of course, you can also move around with our bikes if they are "fit" - sometimes we're not immediately prepared to surprises as flat tyres, but we try our best!
Other things to note
After booking, you will receive a confirmation through Airbnb. Please send us your PERSONAL email address (not codified through this platform), and we will send you a description and a map for your arrival, also possibly other information you might need.
Smokers can enjoy their cigarettes on the balcony's armchairs and use the blankets in order to keep them warm in colder times. For the wellbeing of all my guests, please only smoke outside.
German law: Illegal streaming and downloads
For your own information and protection, please kindly note it is strictly forbidden to download or even stream movies or other documents subject to authors' and similar copyrights through our internet connection.
Unlike in many countries, streaming and downloads are illegal according to German law. Misuse of copyright is easily detectable by authorities through the ip connection which is established each time you get connected to the internet. It is followed by fines of up to thousands of euros.
By booking, you accept to be held responsible for any damage (which is usually financial and very expensive) of this kind you might have caused. Now that you have been informed, the best is simply to respect German law.
Sorry to be so strict on that, but such cases really occur and we had to deal with that. We simply want you and us to be protected from painful difficulties with German law.
Of course, you can use internet and you have free connection, but you simply shouldn't stream or download movies. Thanks for your understanding.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund, including service fees.
