Au Lion d 'Or cottage, in the wooded park of a family home, ideally located a few steps from shops, restaurants in the historic center of Ardres. The cottage is located at the entrance of Lake Ardres renowned for its natural and tourist site, with leisure base, fishing, attractions for young children, glacier, and pedal boats, as well as beautiful walks or bike rides.
20 minutes from the beaches of the Côte d 'Opale, the dragon of Calais, and the Audomarois marsh.

The space
Small and large can enjoy the large wooded park of 5000m2, quiet, ideal for relaxing, quiet, in a magnificent green setting.

The accommodation is adjoining our main dwelling, it consists of 1 living room with equipped kitchen, with sofa bed (kitchen equipped with a microwave, stovetop, refrigerator with freezer, croques monsieur, Senseo, kettle), 1 bedroom overlooking the pool, 1 bathroom with large shower type balneo and wc.
The entrance to the cottage is individual.

If you wish to use the sofa bed in addition to the bed, please specify this when booking, an additional charge of €15 per stay applies.

Conditional access to the pool: shared with the owners, free access from 10am to 8pm approx.
Request to respect the cleanliness of the pool and its surroundings, pets not allowed. Access to the chalet for cloakroom, swimming pool equipment, games and sunbeds (at no extra charge, request for respect and storage of the equipment used).
Provide pool bath linens, not provided.
Pool heated to 28°, open from April to September (variable depending on weather conditions). Pool covered by a retractable dome (safety) allowing swimming or swimming in bad weather.

Lodge in a quiet area, where we hear the birds singing, 1 minute walk from the dynamic historic city center. (Supermarket 7 days a week at 200m).

In the city center, typical streets and its preserved architectural heritage, the 16th century church stands next to the Place d 'Armes where you will not fail to admire the stained glass windows of Hirch, Lhottelier and Roussel.

Leaving the church, head to the Chapel of the Carmelites, classified historical monument that houses today the tourist office.

Ardres is also renowned for its largest lake on the Opal coast. 1 min walk from the gîte.

Don't miss the Ardres underground (wheat barns and underground of the Royal Bastion) which testify to the military past of this small town which in the 16th century lived to the rhythm of French, English and Spanish rivalries.
