With far reaching views and multiple walks from the door, this quaint barn is perfect for posh camping. Boasting underfloor heating in the wet room and a fully furnished kitchenette - it's the perfect place to switch off from the hassles of life and enjoy the outdoors.
The space

Over a century old and still with original beams and walls, Underbank Camping Barn has housed everything from cattle to hay over the years – it even got bombed in the 2nd World War..! Now Underbank Camping Barn has received a mini makeover and is ready to receive guests!
Please note, the electrics at Underbank Camping Barn are ALL operated from a £1 meter so please bring change with you!
No hot water other than shower or kettle.
There is NO WIFI AND LIMITED PHONE RECEPTION so please ensure all party members are updated beforehand.
Underbank Camping Barn comprises 2 connecting rooms upstairs for sleeping with a wall mounted electric heater in each. Please note again **NO BEDS OR BEDDING IS PROVIDED**
Ample ground floor space including a dining room, a shower/toilet washroom with underfloor heating, kitchenette complete with induction hob, fridge, toaster, kettle and utensils plus a walled garden ensuring plenty of space to enjoy some quality time outside in the beautiful surroundings.
Ample plug sockets throughout complete with USB ports and security lighting both up and downstairs.
Maximum capacity 8 people – £80 per night – sole occupancy - 2 night minimum stay.
The ground floor comprises:-
- Entrance room with coat hooks and plenty of room for storing boots, rucksacks, etc.
- Kitchenette with work surface, cupboards and drawers, induction hob, fridge, sink with tap (cold water only), kettle, toaster, cutlery, plates, mugs, pans (specifically for induction hob) and drinking glasses.
- Eating/conservatory area with large table, benches and chairs.
- Outdoor walled garden area with firepit.
What you will need to bring:-
- Your usual camping equipment of a good sleeping bag (weight according to season),
- Barbecue utensils if required,
- A foam mat/blow up air bed - as mattresses are not provided,
- £1 coins for the electric meter,
- Warm clothes, walking boots or stout shoes,
- Water shoes/flip flops for the communal wet room,
- Logs/kindling for fire pit if you wish to use,
- Camping chairs for outside if required.
Please be aware that our barn is not a suitable venue for loud celebration parties, hen or stag parties. We are a family destination and all loud music/outside noise must cease at 11pm.
As Underbank Camping Barn is situated within a working farm, the surrounding fields are filled with sheep and cows – therefore – we have a strict no dogs policy.
Please also note - there is a high possibility of spiders and bugs, we can’t nature proof a 100+ year old building!!!
Underbank Camping Barn is a 5 minute walk from Blaze Farm where we have an ice cream parlour and tea rooms on site. The farm is open to the public all year round Wednesdays – Sundays from 10am and we have basic provisions for sale if required.
Guest access
Underbank Camping Barn is accessible down a single track farm road which is very well maintained.
Parking for 2 vehicles is available outside the barn.
Upon arrival – keys for Underbank Camping Barn must be collected from Blaze Farm no later than 9pm. Check in is from 2pm.
Check out is 10am – the barn must be left in the same condition as you found it with dustbins and recycling left outside.
Keys are to be returned to Blaze Farm on departure.
