166 acre farm atop the Niagara Escapement with the Notawassaga River running through the lower fields.
50 minutes from Toronto Airport.
2000 square foot, fully serviced apartment, available at select times- 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, gym , living room, kitchen, lounge ,screened-in porch, 3 acre garden, hiking trails. We are close to five Golf courses, the Bruce Trail , Snowmobile Trails ,the Caledon Equestrian Centre and skiing at Hockey Valley Resort and Mansfield Ski Resorts.

The space

A 3 acre ornamental garden surrounds the home. The Notawassaga River runs through the bottom of the farm. The view over the Hockey Valley and fields is spectacular. We have a working cow/calf operation . Bill 's 4 horses run free but are no longer ridden. They just look pretty cavorting in the fields.

Guest access

The 2000 sq feet apartment is self- contained with 2 private entrances. You will be invited to wanderer the beautiful gardens and sit in the screened- in porch or lie in hammocks under the mature maples.
Hike on the rest of the property is allowed as long as you are comfortable with the farm animals. There are paths down to the river. The Bruce Trail is only 8 k away. There is WIFI for email and Skpying/Facetime but the signal is too slow for streaming and too expensive.
If you want to experience the peace and quiet of county life , contact us and we will answer all your questions. I am happy to pick up any provisions you might need for your stay with us.

We will meet our guests and make sure they have access to all the information to make their stay pleasant.

Trish and Bill could not have been better hosts. They were ready willing and able to do anything we needed from them. The property was beautiful and a great place to get away from it all.

Trish and Bill are lovely hosts. We're grateful to them for providing us with a home away from home for the week our daughter was competing at the Caledon Equestrian Park. Communication was timely, and very helpful in preparing for our visit (e.g., Trish sent us detailed driving instructions to make sure we had an easy trip). We were welcomed by Trish and Bill (and Zip, their Border Collie) when we arrived, then we had the chance to visit their beautiful property, including Trish's vast gardens, their cows and horses, and the stunning views of the Hockley Valley. The apartment is spacious, and is just as described in the listing/photos. The kitchen is well-equipped so you can have meals at home. Also, the Hockley General Store is just a few minutes away if you're looking for something quick - they sell baked goods, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. The home is ideally located for people visiting or competing at the Caledon Equestrian Park, as it is less than a 20-minute drive away. Thank you, Trish and Bill!

Trish is a gracious host. The location is picturesque with beautiful gardens to enjoy, especially with morning coffee. We also loved the screened in porch. For us as equestrian competitors, the location to the horse park was convenient and the size of the apartment was perfect for our group.

There is a wonderful garden for you to relax in, great nature for you to walk around in and plenty of places nearby to go explore. Trish is the best host you can ask for, making sure you feel welcome. Be aware that the house is far away from the city (i.e. far away from the obligations), but that just means you are much closer to the nature. Go see the sunrise over the valley, hear the thunder and rain from the screened in porch, listen to the birds sing or smell the hundreds of flowers and thousands of plants in the garden. If I have to mention one bad thing, I would mention the ventilator you can hear in the living room. But since you will not be inside except when you sleep, this is not a problem at all! We will definitely return, no doubt about that!

We were a group of two adult couples, looking for a peaceful getaway for an overnight stay after hiking on the Bruce Trail. We were warmly welcomed by Trish, great and helpful communication throughout, and were amazed by the remarkable garden and scenic surroundings. We ate outdoors at one of the many picnic table options, had an amazing view over the Valley, and felt like we had walked into a charming oasis. The suite is exactly as described and worked well for our stay. Hockley valley general store is very close by, another asset to the beautiful location.

A lovely place surrounded by an incredible garden on top of the valley... so beautiful and relaxing. We had a great time petting the animals, chatting on the patio, enjoying the fire pit in the nature. Thank you for this peaceful moment, Trish and Bill, is was perfect!

I am a retired High School principal looking for a new challenge. We hosted International Students last year and had so much fun with them. We decided to also host with Airbnb. We have used Airbnb to find a home in Scottsdale Arizona and on Padre island Texas. It was delightful experience and a million times nicer than staying in a hotel.
My 3 acre garden is my passion and my super smart Border Collie, Zip is my joy.
My husband Bill is a retired running back from the Toronto Argonaughts. We both loving being super busy and having people around.
We raise beef cattle and have 3 horses.
Within 10 minutes are : Hockley Valley Resort for skiing and golf
Bruce Trail for hiking
Snow Mobile trails
15 minutes away is The Palgrave Equestrian Centre
There is a 2000 square foot private apartment with 2 private entrances.
We also host International Students so the apartment can get booked quickly for them.
