Lady Florence is a new unique houseboat, situated on the River Medway in Maidstone. Is surrounded by breath-taking views of Allington Castle, in a quiet location. Mote Park
Is a large green space in Maidstone covering over 450 acres. It has woodland, grassland, rivers and a 30 acre lake.
The following facilities are available at Mote Park:
• Café serving hot and cold food, snacks, drinks and ice creams
• Four children's play areas including a natural woodland play area for ages 8 to 15 years and a skate park
• A model railway. This is run by the Maidstone Model Engineering Society. In the summer, it is open to the public every Sunday and on bank holidays between 2.30pm and 5pm. It costs 30p per ride
• Model boats. They are based near to the boat house on the lake. It is leased to the Maidstone Cygnets Model Boat Club. For more information, visit their website

Allington Castle

Allington Castle is a Medieval 12th-century castle that lies about three miles north-west of Maidstone in Kent. It is fully furnished in character with its Medieval origins, with tapestries, antique furniture and Great Hall in which Henry VIII & Anne Boleyn dined with Sir Thomas Wyatt around 1530.
Although the castle is a private residence, the Great Hall, barn and gardens can be hired as an exclusive wedding venue, corporate event venue and as a filming location.
