Upgraded camping at its finest! Relax and enjoy some time in the country in this comfortable yurt in beautiful Ridgefield, Washington. Get a feel of the outdoors while camping in style and still close to small town amenities. U-pick farms, wineries, equestrian facilities, and birding/wildlife viewing are plentiful. The yurt is situated at the property entrance so you have your own private area. Hosts live in the house nearby. A bundle of firewood is provided to keep the yurt warm and cozy.

The space
The yurt is located on 10 acres in a country setting yet close to many conveniences, with easy access to local amenities. Visiting is a wonderful outdoors experience, but not completely remote; you will see and hear plenty of local wildlife, but also neighboring houses/barns, boats, planes, trains, automobiles and the occasional tractor/lawn mower! There is power and water to the yurt. The property is easily accessed from I-5 (property is 3 miles from the highway), and the quaint town of Ridgefield is only 5 miles away with restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. There are miles of trails a short distance away at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, and you can walk to Lake Rosanna from the property. Berry picking, wildlife viewing, boating, fishing and equestrian opportunities abound! There are many nearby sites where you can view Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens can be seen through the trees from the yurt’s wrap-around deck. The yurt is situated at the entrance of the property so you have your own private area. Hosts live onsite, towards the back of the lot. Power is provided by extension cord from the house and cold water is at the kitchen sink, sourced by a potable water hose, also running from the house. There is no hot water at the sink, however you can warm water on the hot plate or electric kettle (provided). The toilet is a batch composting outhouse which is clean and well maintained and located only a few steps from the yurt. Please note that if you are booking in the winter, you should be familiar with running a woodstove, as it is the main source of heat. 1 bundle of firewood is provided to keep the yurt warm and cozy. Additional bundles are available for purchase.
