This place was a great find! We are a family of four (kids 8 and 11) and it was perfect for our needs. You can tell the owner put in a lot of heart into decorating the place with love. Think shabby-chic. The communication was great and the check in was really simple. The mountains in Slovenia are amazing!! It was great base to do some hiking and just BE in a glorious mountain setting. There were some sheep in the neighbor's yard. Very sweet. The view from the road is the same view that is on the cover of the hiking in the Julian Alps book. It's that stunning! The wifi wasn't very strong and we had to be in a certain area to get a signal. This wasn't a problem for us but if you are planning to try to sneak in some work or stream something, you may have some trouble. This place is the top story of a unit. I think there are three rentals in the unit. This has nothing to do with the owner but the people downstairs were partying until about 1:30 in the morning, singing loudly and having a great time. It was a little annoying because we went to the mountains for some quiet time and to wake up early and hike. I'm sure if I asked, the manager would have asked them to quite down - she responded right away while we were there. Just glad I had earplugs. I would definitely stay again.

Communication with Klemen was great. We arranged by text when to meet at the property. We were travelling from Croatia so meeting time had to be flexible which was no problem. My brother needed some medication and Klemen gave us info about a pharmacy that was open and also got a neighbour to give us help. We felt very welcome. The apartment was very comfortable, we did some long hikes while we were there and coming back to a warm apartment was lovely. We used the local buses and we went to Ljubljana on the bus too. There is a bus stop about 300 meters from the apartment. Enjoyed our winter visit and will come back in the summer.

ODLIČNO. Klemen nam je zagotovil gladek prihod. Apartma je zelo prostoren in stilsko urejen. Izhodišče je perfektno za takojšen pobeg v naravo. Tudi naša dva psa sta neizmerno uživala. PRIPOROČAM.

This is a great apartment! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come again. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate. The apartment was clean and welcoming. The furniture and the design of the apartment is really unique - we could feel that a lot of attention gave to the look & feel of it - with great success! We had there all we need for cooking.

Trata is in a quiet area, hidden from the main road - your first neighbors will be sheep and birds. Highly recommended for nature lovers, but keep in mind that you will have to drive/walk around 3-5 km to get to the ski trails. There are however good restaurants close to the apartment, like Jozica & Rudi's tavern. The apartment is humble and spacious. There are two quite large balconies with really nice views, but the highlight is the garden with breathtaking mountain views - where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun. We were a group of 3, we stayed there for 3 days, and we would come back again.
