The Place is a traditional Himachali house made of deodar wood, stone & mud surrounded by almost an acre of farm land and activity area. One has to hike 1 km to reach the house from parking area. We live with two gaddi dogs name Bhairon and Badal. We try to grow or source locally most of our food ingredients. The house is cosy both in winters and summers. It has a 360-degree view of the greater Himalayas. But it is not a place to expect luxury or a hotel like service. Airtel & Jio 4G available

The space
The property is located in the top of the village. It is the last house bordering a huge pine wood forest. Our house base is more than 100 years old. This area in the earlier times used to serve as the house of the local king due to the spectacular views, rich soil and commanding position. We live with a village community. These are indigenous people of the area having their own unique culture. We live as villagers living almost the same lifestyle as them. So, visitors will get the taste of life of an authentic, raw mountain village and its people. Hence we appreciate silence after 9 pm. Our life is organised around our activities and food is cooked around fixed times. But you are welcome to make your own tea, coffee or some snacks in the kitchen at any time. Having said that, if you are a foodie then we would like to suggest you to try some north eastern food from our chief. We cook mostly everything whatever available here. Also, the area around here is very uneven being on a top of a mountain. So, it is one is always either walking up or down at an altitude of more than 1500 meters. Keep this in mind while visiting this place. . So expect a raw mountain life with serenity , peace and amazing views, good food, sharing and practicing interesting skills and disciplines. Experience the ancient tribal life in the twenty first century. We have renovated the whole place from scratch with lots of passion and love. We have one bedroom with double occupancy and one bedroom with single occupancy. And a share bathroom. We would like to invite you to come, stay with us and experience the raw vibe of this place like us. We love and practice visual arts, enjoy good music from different genres and appreciate art and artists in general. There are books to be read and movies and documentaries to be watched.

Where you’ll be

Tandi, Himachal Pradesh, India

There are hiking trails which starts right next to the house. There are plenty of opportunities just to bathe in pristine nature. One can also explore nearby villages from here. Or a small day trip to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake, Or A day trip to Tirthan river. We practice and like to share disciplines such as Yoga, Meditation etc. It is not only about having an hour of asana practice or sitting silently cross legged. We like to bring in aspects of so-called mysticism into daily practical life without much dogma or orthodoxy. As we regard it as a deeply personal experience rather than a social experiment or something to preach about.

During your stay

I am an Airbnb employee and a host. I will make sure your expectation meets the airbnb guidelines during your stay with me. My place has 360 degree views of Greater himalays like Pir panjal range and Rohtang. Jalori pass totally visible from our bedroom. To reach our place you need to hike about 1km uphill. There are so many thing to see and experience Hence it's not justify if you visit for less than 2 nights. Also make sure you reach the village before dark. Else during dark it's not advisable to walk into the hilly terrain. We would love to share some amazing story about the place, culture and some beautiful moment over dinner. We would also take you to the nearby hiking trails or a walk into the village.
