Sleekstone Holidays welcome you to the Barn. Surrounded by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park & lovingly restored, the cottage is a great base for accessing 50+ beaches, boat trips to see puffins on Skomer and indulge in some history at our fabulous castles. Cook at home if you wish or BBQ in the garden. Sky TV, Netflix, free Wifi & wired internet are all provided plus a log burner. Super-comfortable beds for a great night's sleep, bathroom with bath and separate shower, dog friendly too!

The space
We have used Airbnb many times ourselves both in the UK and abroad, so we have tried to provide what most people want when they are on holiday - we want you to enjoy our cottage so that you will tell your friends, and come back again.

Top of the list for us is super-comfortable beds for a great night's sleep; 2 bedrooms (1 King and 1 Zip & Link giving 2 singles or 1 King) plus a full-sized single daybed on the large landing gives accommodation for 5 - plus a travel cot), next is a well-equipped kitchen that enables us to cook if we want to, or grab a takeaway after a heavy day being a tourist. After we've eaten or been out for the day, we often like to chill out with a good film so a state of the art 4K TV with surround-sound speakers and access to plenty of entertainment for the family is a must - that requires comfortable seating with somewhere to put our refreshments, comfy cushions and cozy throws for cool evenings plus a log burner for those really chilly nights make the living room a haven. For those who don’t want to watch TV a selection of games will keep you amused and entertained.

We also want to provide this with minimal impact on our surroundings and the planet so everything we provide, as far as possible, is done with that in mind; from the plumbed-in water filter to the provision of safe and environmentally friendly cleaning products, to toilet paper wrapped in paper not plastic. Our welcome packs provide goodies sourced from local farms and include milk (for those without dairy or lactose intolerance) in refillable bottles which is less than 48 hours from the cow!!

The cottage is located on a very quiet street; there is a road at the back which can be heard from the bedrooms when the windows are open, but it is not a busy road.

Guest access
Guests will be able to check in from 4pm and checkout is at 10am - we need that time to ensure that we clean the property to the right standard.

We like to greet our guests but we realise that isn't always possible - for those occasions, we have a keysafe and access codes will be sent in good time.

Other things to note
We want you to feel special when you stay with us and, to that end, we have created a space to enable you to relax and enjoy yourselves. Holidays and breaks are for recharging the batteries, getting away from it all and generally getting some “down time” - we do our best to make sure that happens for each and every guest.

The last thing you want to do when you arrive is dash out for supplies; you will find a selection of goodies to keep you going until the following morning - please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or intolerances so that they can be accommodated.

We provide an initial supply of logs and kindling for the wood burner; if you require more, they can be purchased at the local Texaco Garage which is located 5 minutes away next to Sinclair Audi on the A477.

PLEASE NOTE: wet wood should not be used in the log burner; it damages the burner and creates polluting particulates. Please only burn kiln-dried timber. Thank you

You will find the following items provided for you: hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, washing up liquid, cleaning products and laundry balls (used instead of soap powder - if you’ve not tried them, you are in for a real surprise at how efficient they are; they are changed at each guest changeover); there is also a plumbed-in water filter to help reduce plastic waste - please feel free to refill your water bottle instead of buying more.

If there is anything we can do to make your stay better, please let us know.

Up to 6 well-behaved dogs are welcome - there is no charge for dogs; guests are asked not to leave their dog unattended in the property.

Business
I moved to Pembrokeshire from Sussex in 1992 to marry my husband who grew up here. After decades of travelling in the UK and overseas, for both work and holidays, we decided that we would use our experience to provide others with high quality accommodation for their holidays and short breaks in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. We love meeting our guests and getting to know a little bit about them so we can make appropriate recommendations for their visits. Let us know what you like to do and we will do our best to help you get the most from your stay with us.
