Garden view

Soak up the view during your stay.
Shed 2 is a snug, self-contained cabin-for-two set in our secluded garden close to Eype beach, near Bridport on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. There is a comfy king-size bed and a roomy en suite shower plus WiFi, kettle and use of our wild but sunny garden (ideal for sun-bathing, star-gazing and wildlife spotting – rabbits, badgers and numerous birds are among our regular visitors). Note: access to the house is via 37 steps!

The space
Shed 2 replaces a vintage summer house (circa 1930) that stood at the bottom of our garden. We salvaged some of the original timber to line the interior walls (the bi-fold doors are also original) and we have a added a new wood floor, two Velux roof lights and quirky, wriggly-tin cladding. We've gone for a rustic, rough luxe look (a hint of cowboy cabin) with recycled vintage furniture and industrial-style light fittings. Breakfast can be served outdoors, weather permitting. There is no fridge in the room, but we provide fresh milk in a flask and can chill wine or drinks for you on request. There is a pub across the road and we are close to public footpaths – Eype is an ideal gateway to the South West Coast Path between West Bay and Seatown.

Guest access
By car is the best way to get here though there are stations at Dorchester (linked to Bridport by bus), Crewkerne and Axminster. We have dedicated parking around 50 yards downhill from the house.

Other things to note
If the dates you are looking for are not available, it's worth contacting us as we often don't release dates until a few weeks (or even days) before.
The space is not recommended for anyone with mobility problems as there is a long flight of steps up to the house. While the accommodation is self-contained, guests should be aware that it sits in part of our own garden quite close to our house. We will do all we can to respect your privacy, but if you are looking for complete seclusion, this is probably not the place for you.
