Welcome, your comfortable double bedroom, with your own private bathroom and courtyard for you to enjoy. With easy access to explore the medieval three cities of Malta, my house is a great base to wake up at and start your discoveries from.

Charmingly renovated, with an emphasis on keeping the original Maltese features, your bedroom is located on the ground floor, on this multi storey home. You'll have full access to the all of the house, and your welcome to use kitchen, lounge room and rooftops. Your courtyard has relaxed garden furniture and is a lovely spot to take breakfast or relax with a book.

The house is simple and stylish, and it's offered at a price thats a lot lower than staying at a hotel.

Your bathroom/s are newly built and have lovely walk-in showers, toilet and wash hand basin with all linen and towels provided in the wardrobes. The house was renovated in 2013, by myself, and is built to make guests feel like they have their own space and can relax, wherever they choose.

The fully equipped kitchen is free for you to use and dine at the kitchen area or on the rooftops. The kitchen has all you need to create a fabulous meal. You can also take breakfast in the traditional Maltese balcony which overlooks the quaint street below. The living area has an Apple TV with loads of films and tv shows to watch should you just want to relax, plus lots of books.

We have two rooftops, which has a small kitchenette to prepare meals from. The rooftop has fabulous views over the Grand Harbour to Valletta, across to the three cities and to Mdina. The house is right next door to Senglea Basilica so you have the rooftop lit up at night which is quite impressive. The rooftop also has table and chairs and an awning for shade and it's a lovely spot to take dinner, or for looking out over the Mediterranean and watching ships come and go in the Grand Harbour.

The house has free high speed WiFi throughout, and have devices to use should you want to connect. Your welcome to borrow my bikes to cruise around the local area.

And if you want to leave luggage that ok, we have a storage place. As we understand that Check In and Check Out time frames, can vary depending on your flights to and from Malta.

There are no cleaning fees and I respond to enquiries quickly.

** Please note these photos were taken by me, and will get the airbnb folks to take some better ones soon...

The whole house is there to be enjoyed and we are flexible to make your stay comfortable. You can come and go freely, as the bedroom, bathroom and courtyard you have the privacy of the entire ground floor.

We are happy to provide as little or as much interaction as you wish, and we look forward to welcoming you and helping you make the most of your stay. We are always an email or text away - should you need assistance, otherwise you have total privacy.

We are right beside the Senglea basilica, which is the heart of this ancient city, there's always lots of festivals and events to discover in the three cities. There are lots of handy shops: pharmacy, doctor, fruit and vegetables, butcher, supermarket nearby to get any supplies you may need. The local shops have great local produce and the locals are happy to give you tips on cooking local specialties. Please note, many often close from 12noon till 4pm every day then open again for the early evening.

Within walking distance are loads of excellent Restaurants and Café's, with a relaxed atmosphere on the peaceful waterfront, that overlooks Yacht marina, which is lovely for either a coffee or lunch or evening dining. From the waterfront you can catch the ferry to Valletta, a 5 minute trip or you can walk across to Birgu to discover even more with local Museums, Forts, Churches, Chapels, Palazzo's... and Art Galleries. The whole area was the at the heart of the the Siege of Malta and home to the Knights of St John, it's a favourite place for visitors to Malta.

The three cities has lots to discover, walking around the area you'll discover wonderful views, and places to relax and swim in the sea, and within a few minutes. There's a family beach 10 minutes away which is lovely in summer or after a day of sightseeing, all with a stunning backdrop of Valletta.

The Three Cities are receiving a major revitalisation as part of an EU funded initiative. The last few years has seen a great transformation in the area, which has not taken away from the local character.

Getting around is easy and cheap. The local buses are cheap and the bus stop is right by our home, you can catch the number 1 bus to and from Valletta which connects with the rest of Malta and the Airport.

You may want to get a car hire, best place to pick it up is at the airport, or you can arrange delivery collection at our home. This is a great option to go exploring Malta more remote places and Gozo too. There's plenty of free car parking all around too.

We can arrange a pre booked taxi option for guests, which many take up for a hassle free arrival, and its only 18 euro.

A favourite way to visit and arrive in Valletta, is by a 5-minute ferry across the Grand Harbour. Included in the ticket price is lift access up to Upper Barrakka Gardens, which has wonderful views of the Grand Harbour.

The house does not have air conditioning, it was designed and built to let natural ventilation warm and cool the house. We are happy to help arrange heating or cooling options should you require.

Water is scarce in Malta, we have no freshwater supplies, and so we ask that you keep usage to a minimum. We ask to please keep showers to four minutes please. I have two wells in the basement to supply the secondary system like the toilets, but even that is limited by what we catch from the annual rainfall.

The house has a comfortable wide staircase to reach the rooftop.
