We had a great weekend here - the cottage was very comfortable and quiet. It was really well equipped and set in beautiful gardens which our two children loved exploring. They also loved the delicious scones that the host left for us! It was a great base for exploring York. We used the nearby Park and Ride to avoid the city traffic which worked brilliantly. This was a lovely cottage, ideal for our 6 and 4 year old - I'd recommend it.

Had a lovely stay at Parsley Cottage. Scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival was a lovely touch. Cottage perfect for our first visit to York. P&R at Monks Cross ideal to get into the centre. Would definitely stay here again.

The cottages are in a great location just off the A64 outside York. There is easy access (once you've mastered the correct entrance!) and plenty of easy parking. We have stayed a couple of times and the cottages are always clean and a warm welcome awaits. The scones from the garden centre cafe were a very nice welcoming treat! The cottages share a large garden area which is really nice in the warmer months. There is also easy access to short but nice woodland walks. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay at 'Michael's place'.

Really happy with our stay at Parsley Cottage. It is a good size for a family of 4 and the garden is beautiful. We really enjoyed being able to eat our lunch outside and appreciate the landscape around the cottages. Although just off the A64 it was incredibly quiet and peaceful and yet near enough to York and the Monks Cross shopping park to make it very practical for visiting family in York. The beds are very comfortable and although we only stayed the weekend we could have happily stayed all week. A great base to explore all of Yorkshire.

This was such a lovely cottage, all ground floor, with 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom was roomy and had a beautifully fresh smelling set of sheets on a very comfortable bed, and the fluffiest pillows i have ever seen. The view onto the large lawn with the gardens and trees was delightful. The kitchen had everything you could wish for and i enjoyed cooking whilst watching the birds and squirrels through the patio windows . The breakfast bar was huge with good quality leather stools. It really was just as good as the photographs. We went a few times to the little garden tearoom next door and enjoyed the scones and eton mess cake and the bonus is it was just a 2 minute walk to get there. I certainly would come and stay here again. Top tip: bring some bird food as it was amazing the variety of birds we attracted including a wood pecker :) on the patio.
