The space

Enjoy a very large, bright, private bedroom equipped with a comfortable queen sized bed, carpeted floors, 42" TV, full closet, full sofa and reading chair and ottoman. The room is next to a semi-private full bathroom.

Note: A charming smaller bedroom is also available with a twin bed and similar amenities. This room can accommodate one more individual at an additional cost.

Won't you come and visit my Cape Cod oasis? My home is a 2100 square foot, Cape style, 4-season, 2-level home situated on a private half acre of perpetually blooming gardens. The house boasts large, sun-filled rooms with lots of windows that make it feel much larger than its actual size. Decorated in a casually chic style, earth tones dominate the palette as sandy beiges and warm whites intermingle with blues of the sea and sky, as well as bright warm yellows of the noon day sun.

The all-season sun room features walls of glass with cathedral ceilings and sky lights. Glass sliders transition to a large private deck that sits high in the canopy of the garden. Comfortable seating, a 'hidden' 42" HDTV, stereo and iPod dock allow for some evening entertainment options.

The master bedroom (this listing) is huge, running entire depth of the house. It includes a queen size bed, as well as a sofa in a sitting area. An entire wall of windows overlooks the greenery of the back garden. Another skylight adds more natural light. But don't fret if you'd like to sleep in! Wooden shutters and skylight shades can transform this bright room from day to night at a moments notice. The master also includes a 'hidden' 40" smart HDTV with full cable and internet access. A large closet is available as well as a separate cedar-lined closet.

The spacious guest bedroom (available under a separate listing) also contains a queen bed, sitting area and full closet. West facing windows stream the warm amber rays of the sun setting over the ocean.

The third bedroom is a cozy, lively colored room with a single twin bed, sitting area and full closet.

The kitchen is fully functional for cooking a meal of any size with stainless appliances and granite counter tops. The decor is a whimsical French country style with a high-top cafe table that seats four.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a full dining room that seats six comfortably. The centerpiece of the room is a handmade seashell chandelier hung over a beautiful antique farmer's table.

A large, slightly formal living room lines the other side of the house and is decorated in a tasteful nautical theme. Winter visitors can enjoy watching the flickering flames of the wood pellet stove as snow swirls outside. A game table also provides for some down time distractions after a long day at the beach or sightseeing.

The home is equipped with a full laundry, garage for one vehicle, wireless internet access, cable TV, water filtration system, security system, gas grill, outdoor deck furniture, two kayaks (1-person and 2-person), beach chairs, etc.

Guest access

My guests have access to the majority of the house including the kitchen, living room, sun room, back deck and gardens. If you'd like to use the kitchen to cook and dine in the dining room, just let me know so that we can plan accordingly. Wifi is accessible throughout the house and on the deck.

Interaction with guests

This is my full time home, so it's likely that I will be present during your stay. With that said, I respect the privacy of my guests. I am available for recommendations, directions, and general questions though! Additionally, if you'd like a guide for a scenic bike tour along the coast, some of the best mountain biking in the state, or even some kayaking, I may be available.

Other things to note

The house has a circular driveway that offers off-street parking.

All state and local lodging taxes are included in my listed price, so keep this in mind when comparing other properties that may collect taxes separate from your airbnb payment.

I have several bikes that are available for use. Kayaks are also available, but you will probably have to transport them the 0.2 miles to the harbor.

Dave was a terrific host. Greeted us with open arms into his home. In fact, it was our first ever experience with Airbnb. What an experience...the Cape at its best. He spent about an hour going through the map of the area and telling us about all the hidden gems of the area...where to eat, the beaches, the sites, the bike paths, everything. His house is spectacular inside and out. All the amenities, as if you're in your own house, but better (it's the Cape). The patio is a work of art, surrounded by beatiful trees, flowers, monarch butterflies, hummingbirds to say the least. We got to experience a sunset (a rarity in the Cape), riding on a fabulous bike path, eating at the places where locals go, swimming in a secluded beach overlooking Buzzards Bay, all within walking distance from Dave's place. A worldly individual, Dave was such a kind, generous, and interesting soul. The only difficult part was saying goodbye. We hope to return very soon. Jenny and Andre

This was our third visit staying at Dave's. The house is beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, great neighborhood and near our favorite ice cream shop, Eulinda's.

I couldn't recommend Dave or his lovely abode any more highly. You'll love his place, him, and your stay overall. The place is very quiet, beautiful, cozy, and it's an incredible value. My advice: stay a while!

I was lucky enough to select this room and stay in Dave's home. This is a larger bedroom with a couch and queen size comfortable bed. The bathroom is shared with another room, but it was never a problem. Dave does all the cleaning and room prep, but it seems like it's done by a professional team. Dave allowed use of the whole home, including the kitchen, living room and patio. I highly recommend you stay with Dave. I plan to go back.

Greetings! I am single professional (software engineer) and new member of the cancer survivors club. I am well traveled and hard working, but looking to shift my life balance more toward living in the present. I hope to work less and travel more. I am an adventurous sort who likes to explore new places, enjoys cycling, kayaking, running and other outdoor activities. I'd be honored to share my home and my community with you. Conversely, I'd treat your home with the same respect that you do :-)
