Perfect place & great location. We arrived quite late & Micael was very accommodating, met up to give us keys, showed around the flat etc. The flat is big enough to stay for long breaks - the space is good, nice kitchen, shower and so on. Also very good location! Water buses go from right outside the flat to the islands of Burano & Murano, as well as the airport. Nearby there's a perfect restaurants that bakes morning goods & had perfect espresso to start the day. Away from the main tourist spots like San Marco, so it's much nicer & quieter, but you can walk everywhere super quick. As my flight was delayed, I arrived in Venice at 2am, so there was no public transport anymore. However, I took the cab to the main station and it only took 20min to walk to the flat, not once did I feel unsafe walking at night. The flat is really comfortable, comes with all appliances, also hair dryer, iron etc. I would highly recommend it to everyone coming to get away for a little holiday :) Thanks Micael! Ugne

Miceal's apartment is a beautiful escape from the busy streets of Venice in a lovely location which offers so much. Arriving and departing couldn't have been easier, with the apartment being situated just moments from the Fondamente Nove boat dock, which is perfect for the airport and day trips to Murano, Burrano and Torcello. The area is filled with incredible restaurants and Micael's recommendations are brilliant! The apartment is clean and tidy, filled with all the amenities you need. It's situated in a quiet area and is very spacious. St. Mark's square is a pleasant 15/20 minute walk away, and once you master the route, it couldn't be easier to find your way around. Micael's apartment is the perfect base for a visit to Venice, and if we go back, we'll be sure to be in touch!

Great experience! Beautiful apartment. Thoughtful amenities and stylish decor - felt like a Kimpton hotel with a kitchen. We liked the location a lot. It's at the Fondamente Nove stop, which means it's easy to get to the train station and airport. If you have luggage, you won't want to try to carrying them through Venice, and here, you won't have to. The neighborhood also has a nearby grocery store a several boutique stores. Fewer tourists and better restaurants than staying on the grand canal. Also close to nightlife. If your main goal is to spend your time seeing museums Etc along the grand canal, you may tire of the 30+ minute walk every day. I'd stay in this neighborhood again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the bed (a gold out couch) was very uncomfortable, and so were the pillows. At night, the bathroom smells bad, but I think this is common in Venice. Overall, we were happy and recommend it. Micael and Donatella are great, and thoughtful, hosts.

Nice location and Micael is a really kind host. Venice is not that big, so you're a walk away from most attractions and restaurants. The apartment has a loft feel. Maybe we didn't pay attention to the description, but the bed is actually a sofa bed. Comfortable enough to sleep for a couple of nights. It was a pleasant stay.

Our stay at Micael’s and Donatella's place couldn't have been better. It has everything you need and the location is excellent: a really quite side street but only a few minutes walk to almost everything of interest. The Vaporetto-stop is literally at the doorstep of the Apt. which makes transit to the airport very convenient. Micael was very responsive and flexible with check-in and -out and gave invaluable tips for the neighborhood – which we highly appreciated! This Apt. is definitely a recommendation – We’d love to stay there again!

Micael is the perfect host. Our train was delayed more than 2 hours and he waited until after midnight to meet us and make sure we could find our way. He even bought us coffee the next morning at this mother's cafe. A truly excellent host. THANK YOU! The apartment had everything we needed including snacks, bottles of water, a beer, coffee, tea, pasta, plates, large fridge, etc.. etc... and the wifi was fast for Venice. The place is large enough for two people to stay comfortably with their suitcases. The bathroom and shower are roomy and everything functions well. It was clean and nicely decorated. If you stay here you are also VERY close (like 18 steps) to a big water bus station that also has an Alilaguna stop to go to the airport, but in a quieter residential area of Venice and a 30 minute walk to the main train station. An excellent combination. The apartment is on the edge of the island so while you're in a great spot, it is a 15 minute walk into the busier parts of the island. Totally worth it though! The best pizza and Gelato is about 8 minutes walk from the apartment! If we had a complaint it was the bed. It is a pull-out couch, squeeks quite a bit whenever you move and it quite hard. There are also not many pillows. So if this matters to you, be aware. My back was hurting after a couple nights. Also, a small thing, remember to keep the toilet lid closed and the bidey plug down, otherwise, Venice has a sewage smell that can drift into the apartment. Not Micael's fault, just a general tip for anyone staying in Venice. Overall, solid 4/5 . Every Air BnB host should be like Micael.
