A beautiful, solid and detached private residence, over 150 years old and with all modern facilities. Set within its own grounds, a tranquil countryside haven, offering amazing mountain and sea views, all within easy reach of Caernarfon and Bangor.
A comfortable detached house with kitchen, living room, sitting/dining room, conservatory, three bedrooms (1x king size, 1x double and 2x single beds) and one toilet/bathroom with a large bath and electric shower.
The house is homely and welcoming, it sleeps six within the three bedrooms. A sofa bed in the sitting room can accommodate a further two 'temporary' guests.
The conservatory is ideal for either dining or relaxing in, taking in the garden, countryside and sea views.
The house is double glazed, with oil central heating and features dressed stonework, exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace, two multi-fuel stoves, private gardens and ample off road parking.
The outside patio area is ideal for eating 'al fresco' and to unwind, take in the views and fresh air.
Guests are welcome to stroll around the garden and orchard. There is a small pond in the garden and so children will need to be supervised.
In addition, there are two bee hives in the orchard, which are some distance from the house and these are mild mannered bees. However, both children and pets should supervised, so as not to disturb these busy garden helpers and their home.
Please note that Hafod Boeth is down a narrow country lane and so extra wide vehicles may find it difficult to approach.
Door keys will be left for you and guests will have full use of the house and gardens.
Interaction with guests
Whilst I will not be present during your stay, the house will be ready for your arrival, giving you the privacy you require. However, you can contact me, should you have any queries during your stay.
Other things to note
Hafod Boeth is offered on a self-catering basis and bedding/towels are provided.
The property is down a very narrow country lane and it would be prudent not to arrive in the dark due to the absence of street lighting.
There are two bee hives at the far end of the garden, in the orchard, which is some distance from the house and main garden. Please do not disturb the bees or the hives, and ensure that children and dogs are supervised, especially if they venture into the orchard. Whilst the bees are mild mannered and will not bother garden users, they will react if you are very close to their home or tamper with it. If you do have allergies to bees, please remember to have your medication with you, during your visit.
Wifi is available in the property and up to 9 devices can connect to this, but it is via 'mobile broadband' and so the signal strength does vary from 4G to nothing, depending on time of year/weather etc. Whilst the wifi will cope with email and web browsing, it is not designed for downloading movies or other large files, especially as there is a monthly limit on download data availability.
This is my home, loved and used by my family and friends and I would like to extend this to responsible guests. So please be sensible and respect the house, its facilities and behave accordingly.
Please ensure that you keep the property safe and secure.
When vacating the house, please ensure that you wash and put away all used items and leave the house as you found it.
There is a non-smoking indoor policy but smokers are welcome to use the outside space, disposing of remnants in the bins provided.
Please ensure that children are closely supervised, for their own safety, keeping to mind this is an old house, with a pond in the garden and it is set amongst open and worked farmland.
A well behaved 'house trained' dog is permitted, providing guests do not allow their dog on to the furniture or leave it unaccompanied and clean up any mess made in the house and garden.
The house is in the countryside and in close proximity to sheep, cattle and horses. It is your responsibility to keep your dog secure, on a lead/under control. It must not be allowed wander or chase other animals.
Depending upon the time of year, the multi-fuel stove may be lit, ready for your arrival with a supply of logs for your first day. Additional logs can be purchased.
Hello, I'm Craig, the proud owner of Hafod Boeth, a property set in the heart of Gwynedd in beautiful North Wales.
Whilst the property is relatively new to me, at over 150 years old, Hafod Boeth is definitely not new and I'm certainly not new to the area, having been a regular visitor (to Criccieth) since I was a little boy and have many friends in the area.
I spend time between my home in Saddleworth and my hideaway retreat at Hafod Boeth.
Hafod Boeth is well equipped with all modern amenities whilst retaining that character, safe and homely feel.
I'm the joint owner of a small business providing regulatory business services to small retail investment firms.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with family and friends, taking in the outdoors/scenery, walking (my German Shepherd 'Whisper') and relaxing on the beach and so we're spoilt for choice in North Wales. Other interests include socialising (drink and food), movies and film, music, the internet and gardening.
