A beautiful, solid and detached private residence, over 150 years old and with all modern facilities. Set within its own grounds, a tranquil countryside haven, offering amazing mountain and sea views, all within easy reach of Caernarfon and Bangor.

The space

A comfortable detached house with kitchen, living room, sitting/dining room, conservatory, three bedrooms (1x king size, 1x double and 2x single beds) and one toilet/bathroom with a large bath and electric shower.

The house is homely and welcoming, it sleeps six within the three bedrooms. A sofa bed in the sitting room can accommodate a further two 'temporary' guests.

The conservatory is ideal for either dining or relaxing in, taking in the garden, countryside and sea views.

The house is double glazed, with oil central heating and features dressed stonework, exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace, two multi-fuel stoves, private gardens and ample off road parking.

The outside patio area is ideal for eating 'al fresco' and to unwind, take in the views and fresh air.

Guests are welcome to stroll around the garden and orchard. There is a small pond in the garden and so children will need to be supervised.

In addition, there are two bee hives in the orchard, which are some distance from the house and these are mild mannered bees. However, both children and pets should supervised, so as not to disturb these busy garden helpers and their home.

Please note that Hafod Boeth is down a narrow country lane and so extra wide vehicles may find it difficult to approach.

Guest access

Door keys will be left for you and guests will have full use of the house and gardens.

Interaction with guests

Whilst I will not be present during your stay, the house will be ready for your arrival, giving you the privacy you require. However, you can contact me, should you have any queries during your stay.

Other things to note

Hafod Boeth is offered on a self-catering basis and bedding/towels are provided.

The property is down a very narrow country lane and it would be prudent not to arrive in the dark due to the absence of street lighting.

There are two bee hives at the far end of the garden, in the orchard, which is some distance from the house and main garden. Please do not disturb the bees or the hives, and ensure that children and dogs are supervised, especially if they venture into the orchard. Whilst the bees are mild mannered and will not bother garden users, they will react if you are very close to their home or tamper with it. If you do have allergies to bees, please remember to have your medication with you, during your visit.

Wifi is available in the property and up to 9 devices can connect to this, but it is via 'mobile broadband' and so the signal strength does vary from 4G to nothing, depending on time of year/weather etc. Whilst the wifi will cope with email and web browsing, it is not designed for downloading movies or other large files, especially as there is a monthly limit on download data availability.

Fantastic house, fantastic location, no complaints! A beautiful house in a beautiful setting over looking the sea and a wonderful garden. A retreat for us and our two small children after a weeks camping and it definitely did the job. Would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

When we stayed here 2 years ago, we said we'd go back & we did. The house & gardens were even more beautiful than we'd remembered & everything is how & where you'd want it with young family. There's only 5 of us but with the sofa bed, we would fit 7 very comfortably. Craig is a great host who responded quickly to any questions throughout our stay & I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else when visiting north Wales. Thanks, Ricky

Wow what a beautiful cottage which was very well equipped (especially the kitchen - was able to cook a full roast for 8!) and had amazing views. The stay was enjoyed by all and although we didn't meet Craig his communication was great and check in was easy. Location great - 10 min drive to Tesco, Asda or Morrison, 15 min to Caernarfon and 30 min to Snowdon. Master bedroom was beautiful and loved reading in the egg chair each morning looking at the views. Would definitely book again - thank you

To anyone visiting Snowdonia and looking for somewhere to stay, look no further than this place. Craig has sorted out a view of hills and the sea, lovely garden and a great relaxing sun room. All the facilities promised on the advert were there, in full working order and the welcome package was a kind touch. If your going walking around this area it is so close. Oh and try the local curry house it was immense. Thanks Craig.

So glad we chose Hafod Boeth for our trip. Craig was communicative and very thoughtful. A truly lovely property for a small family gathering. We'd love to return. For those with lustrous locks - there IS a hairdryer. It's in the bathroom cupboard behind some toiletries. :)

Craig User ProfileCraig is a superhost.

Hello, I'm Craig, the proud owner of Hafod Boeth, a property set in the heart of Gwynedd in beautiful North Wales.

Whilst the property is relatively new to me, at over 150 years old, Hafod Boeth is definitely not new and I'm certainly not new to the area, having been a regular visitor (to Criccieth) since I was a little boy and have many friends in the area.

I spend time between my home in Saddleworth and my hideaway retreat at Hafod Boeth.

Hafod Boeth is well equipped with all modern amenities whilst retaining that character, safe and homely feel.

I'm the joint owner of a small business providing regulatory business services to small retail investment firms.

When I'm not working, I love spending time with family and friends, taking in the outdoors/scenery, walking (my German Shepherd 'Whisper') and relaxing on the beach and so we're spoilt for choice in North Wales. Other interests include socialising (drink and food), movies and film, music, the internet and gardening.
