Located in stunning Perthshire, our beautiful cottage in Abernethy is a great Central Scotland base for you to travel and discover Scotland or just relax in the peaceful village. Lots of beautiful walks, great running and MTB trails and close to St. Andrews and Gleneagles for golf.

3 miles away, visit the recently opened Lindores Abbey Distillery. After a 500-year break, whisky pilgrims will finally be able to see Single Malt distillation happening once again on this historic site.

The space
Our cosy cottage has all amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. It has two bedrooms, one double bed bedroom (standard sized double bed) and a small cosy twin bedroom, this room can be made up with twin beds or a single. We have a small dining area in the well equipt kitchen, that can seat 4, a comfortable living room and the bathroom is upstairs, located next to the bedrooms.

There is no gas in the village, so the cottage is heated by electric heaters. The hot water needs to be turned on when needed and takes approx. 30mins to heat up, the tank allows for a shallow bath but we have an electric shower. Please turn off all heaters when not in use.

The cottage has on street parking and generally you can park next to the cottage otherwise it is a very short walk [approximately 50 metres to park on Main Street or at Williamson Hall.

The cottage has free WIFI, FreeView TV, DVD player with lots of games, boxsets and films.

Abernethy, United Kingdom

Abernethy is a quiet country village with a friendly welcoming pub. There is a local grocery store selling everything you will need without you having to venture to a supermarket or you can stroll along to Jamesfield, an organic farm shop. The village also has a tasty Café. There are great signposted walking routes, MTB & running trails and playparks. It also has a great museum with lots of local history.

The Round Tower is one of only two left in the whole of Scotland. There are also outside tennis courts, available to rent, 5 min. walk from the cottage.

We enjoy travelling and have been fortunate to travel to lots of great places, from the Arctic to South America, with great experiences around Asia and Africa. We love staying in Perthshire and travelling around Scotland too. I enjoy running, cycling and tennis . If you fancy an open water swim (preferably having someone to swim with) you can get along to St. Andrews beach or various nearby Lochs (or just venture to Perth leisure pool). Happy to give you advice. We work hard, and make the most of our free time, sometimes we just chill in Abernethy, go for walks and visit the local pub or head into Perth for dinner. Enjoy your stay :)
