Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Comfortable attractive house with mature wrap around gardens, an unusually large pool and a nice big outdoor patio and dining area. Situated in Southern France, 60 mins drive south of Carcassone airport or 120 mins from Toulouse. Nebias is a pretty old French village, located on the beautiful plateau de Sault. The pool and gardens are nicely secluded by trees and shrubs. Situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees offering great views, big skies, fresh air and plenty of walks and bike trails.

Where you’ll be

Nebias, Occitanie, France

Located in a pretty old French village called Nebias with nice views over the Plateau de Sault and the foothills of the Pyrenees. The house is independent, surrounded by gardens and close to the village centre with its cafe and church square. 6 mins drive away is the larger village of Puivert with its swimming lake and outdoor cafe/restaurants, micro brewery with bar and hilltop castle. A bit further is the larger lake of Montbel with cafes and water activities in season. The nearest market town is 10 mins drive down the mountain road to Quillan. There are spectacular views and beautiful walks, runs and bike trails directly in and around the village. In particular the popular natural 'green labyrinth' winding through tall rocks and interesting forest landscape. Other activities are kayaking and climbing. The roads are great for cyclists, the Tour de France comes through here. The Cathar castles and medieval age fortified towns are great to visit. This place has a mild climate ranging from 18 to 35 degrees C from late Spring through Summer to Autumn. December and January average around 8 degrees. It's a bit fresher here in July / August than the very hot South of France due to its elevation. The area is known for its wine production and plentiful fruit, salad and vegetable growing and there are plenty of markets on every week.
