The apartment is well located near the centro storico. Giancarlo was very attentive and gave us further directions and guidelines. We have a great time!

Great location. Quite spacious for 4-6 people. The pullout couch in the living room is more for 1 person than 2 and is the only sitting area other than the kitchen table if you were relying on it for sleeping space. The apartment was quite comfortable with air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms and a fan for the main area. The beds were all very comfortable with clean, crisp linens. The floors and bathroom could have been a little cleaner but overall it was pretty good. Bare bones for supplies of any kind. No shampoo etc as promised, so required a trip to the market upon arriving to pick up a few basics. If you are staying a week, there are only I set of towels etc per person for the week. We requested more and Giancarlo did have them delivered promptly. In fairness, Giancarlo was away for the week and said he would have tended to things more thoroughly himself. Overall a good stay and definitely a great location, within walking distance to most everything you would care to see.

This apartment has historic charm, and is in a great location within walking distance to the city center--Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Duomo, etc. . (Which is good, because you cannot park or even drive there unless you are a resident.) The amenities are fairly basic, and the kitchen is tight, but overall a comfortable apartment. Giancarlo was an excellent host, and was very responsive and helpful, even though he was on vacation himself while we were there. We worked with his parents, who are delightful and friendly people. There is theoretically parking available on the street outside the apartment, but good luck finding a spot! Parking overall in this city is difficult, so if you bring a car, I recommend you park it once and leave it until you are ready to go. Our car got towed away while we were here (for sticking too far out into the street, though the street is narrow, so not sure what we could have done differently). I reached out to Giancarlo for help, and he responded immediately. Along with his father, they called the police for us and confirmed our car had been towed, got us instructions for retrieving it, and we had the car back and parked again (in a garage!) in less than two hours. (Fine was 118 Euros.) Giancarlo provided exceptional assistance to us, and was a pleasure to work with. Would recommend.

Giancarlo was waiting us as we arrived from the train station. It was a short walk with all our luggage. He then promptly helped us to take our luggage upstairs to the apartment & showed us around. He was very helpful with telling us where the closest grocery store was & the restaurants. He also had 2 large bottles of water waiting for us which was a nice touch in the summer heat. It was about a 15 minute walk to museums & sight seeing. It was nice that the apartment was close to the river which guided us home every evening. One thing that did happen was the air conditioner went out in the larger bedroom. With 90 degree temperatures, we were hot. Giancarlo got the AC repaired but it started leaking again. We so appreciate his staying on top of it but never got it repaired while we were there. There was a fan & AC in the other bedroom & we did our best to stay cool in the evenings. He & I texted frequently which was good because we knew he had someone working on it while we were away for the day. He even sent me a picture of the man working on the AC. He really did his best and we know things like that happen. The apartment was big enough for 5 of us to feel like we had our own space. The kitchen was small but hidden so when the adults woke up in the morning, we were not disturbing anyone which was nice. Having 2 bathrooms was nice too but 1 of the kids turned on the shower & it sprayed everywhere. He learned quickly how to use it without making a mess. The beds were very comfortable. Towels were supplied. We also used the clothes washer several times which was helpful. Because of our flight leaving in the afternoon, we were able to leave our luggage in the hallway while we did a bit more sightseeing. We even met the neighbors when we came to get the luggage & they were very friendly. We felt safe where we were staying & felt like our luggage was safe while we were away in the morning of our departure. Giancarlo was an excellent host. Hope to visit Florence again in the future!

Two couples, two bedrooms, two comfortable beds, two nice clean bathrooms. Terrific location. We relied on GPS instead of Giancarlo's directions and that was a BIG mistake. It really is a 7-8 min walk--with luggage--from the train station. Convenient to everything.
