Under the Oaks is a beautifully converted 1858 church just for couples. Situated in Hahndorf in the stunning Adelaide Hills, just 15 minutes up the freeway, nestled under historic oak trees and within walking distance to the vibrant main street. Amble the historic village and discover the array of shops, wineries, restaurants, galleries and cafes. Luxuriously appointed, it is the perfect space for couples to relax between exploring all the Adelaide Hills and surrounds has to offer.

The space
Under the Oaks is all yours! A light and airy open plan space with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Perfect for a special time away.

Sleep in the cloud like king size bed, bathe in the separate private bathroom with divine bath and lovely shower and relax by the cozy fire in winter.

Whether you just want coffee and a cheese platter or something more substantial, there is a fully equipped kitchen and dining space for your convenience.

A private shady courtyard is available for a morning coffee and an afternoon wine.

Large screen smart TV with Netflix and NBN.

For longer stays, a washing machine and dryer are available.

Under the Oaks is a short 15 minute drive up the Freeway from Adelaide and the perfect central base to explore the fabulous regions South Australia has to offer. (The Hills, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Peninsula).

A free private uncovered parking space is provided off street at the rear of the building. Please do not park on the street as you will likely receive a parking ticket.

The best way of seeing Hahndorf is by foot.

There are bus stops in the main street (2 minutes walk) that will take you to Adelaide and other Hills towns including Mt Barker, Stirling etc. Please see the Adelaide Metro website for details.

Please note, Under the Oaks is not suitable for children or pets and is a non smoking property.

We stock a basic pantry and continental breakfast of local goodies is provided for your first morning.

There is an IGA supermarket 500 metres away on the Main Street. The service town of Mount Barker is a short 7 km away and has all the services you may require, including a Wallis cinema.

Amenities in our kitchen include an induction stove top, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and pod coffee machine.

We have an enhanced cleaning routine due to the coronavirus, and we are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. We also have a Covid-19 Safety Plan and our guest and team safety is our top priority.
