About this listing
THE WHOLE ROOM IS ONLY FOR YOU.
If you book for one person, you will stay alone in the room, if you book for 2 people, only you two will stay in the room alone, You have your own key and can come and go any time you wish. It is private and safe. It is directly in the heart of Prague - Old Town (Stare Mesto.) The location has all shops, banks, pharmacy, clubs, and public transport immediately near by. A comfortable stay to visit Prague is ensured. Nice room and best location.
Private room, only for you. The rest of the apartment is shared with other guests. And the living-room. Bathroom and separate toilet with also a basin to wash. The flat is huge (over 200m2. You have your own key and can come and go any time you wish. There are in total 3 or 4 bedrooms in this flat available.
Guests have the room for themselves. You have your own key to the house and flat and your room - so you can stay and come any time you want. Other parts of the flat are shared. The flat is super - new - and big (really large for Prague center - it has in total something like 200 m2.)
Guests have access to the shared separate WC (small bathroom with only a sink and a toilet.) Guest have access to the shared big bathroom (there is the shower and two sink and the laundry-machine, but you have to use your own laundry detergent - small pack for sell in the local 24/7 on the corner of the street.)
Guests have access to the kitchen sink, fridge, microwave, dishes, cutlery, dishwasher and water kettle (for hot water) it is possible to do instant soup, salad, bread, vegetables, tea or coffee for a snack or instant food that needs only hot water. Not suitable for big meals like preparing meat or pasta.
You can choose - free of charge on the street near by just as we do - or the paid security parking that is directly in our street.
Do never park at the BLUE LINE zone, that is illegal!
(You can risk it though for example for deploying the luggage in our place, but we recommend it for a very short time only)
The PAID SECURITY parking is easy to be find, there are 4 parking spaces that are watched - all of them directly in our street Tesnov - easy to be find under the elevated road and close to the McDonnalds.
The parking FREE OF CHARGE is near by on the streets. Drive the street Tesnov up to the traffic light at the McDonnalds - go straight, BEHIND the McDonnalds turn LEFT and there you are. Behind the elevated road is the old district called KARLIN = that is Prague 8 (whilst our house is still Old Town Prague 1 with all the bad bad Blue Zones.)
There, in Karlin, you can park free of charge ANYWHERE where it is legal.
So for example the streets: Za Poricskou Branou, Sokolovska, Pobrezni, Krizikova are the nearest spots to park the car and then also walk to our house only 4 minutes.
In the street Za Poricskou branou is the great restaurant Gui Lin and also some traditional Czech beer pubs / restaurants - much cheaper and maybe too much 'authentic' - then there are in the Old Town touristic area.
Interaction with guests
The living room is really huge and people in the flat are nice to talk with. I can give advice where to go, about art and have a talk about international relationships, life in Prague and other palaces i have been and travels. I am also curious about what is your story and life.
I am Werni (Wernas)
Before we joined started AirBnB we had already 120 happy CouchSurfers that stayed over during the years.
My mother was a city-tour-guide, that is how she met my dad actually. I am passionate about Prague history and its buildings. So, if you like, i can tell you hints where to go and stuff. I stay over in the flat not all the time. Sometimes i am in the living-room. I am half Czech and half German - so i speak, Czech, German and English. I love if the guest keep the place clean and respect the rules. If you need anything in addition do not hesitate to ask :)
If i am here, i like to go to lunch with the guests - if you like to - from time to time. I do not like to eat alone :D I love to listen to your stories or tell my experiences from travelling - especially southeast Asia is a big passion of mine.
Other things to note
Our flat is in a residential house, where families and old Czech people live. So it really has to be quiet after 22:00 in the evening and it is not allowed to be noisy in the house. The area however is a great location and if you want to see the city you will love to stay here.
Our A.C. is usually off - as it rarely gets too hot here in Prague - however, if it is above 28 °C do not hesitate to request the switch on of the A.C.
We all speak English here .- so you will not have a problem to communicate.
The heating is a central heating that is in the flat. Also the A.C. is in the flat centrally, so it gets to the room through the open door. We recommend to leave the window closed during hot days when the AC is on and vice versa, when the AC is off, just to open the windows slightly, so the fresh air gets in but eventual rain doesn't.
- as it is a shared flat, please no private things in the bath, kitchen or other areas (take towels, soap, toothbrushes etc. to the room)
- take off shoes in the flat, don't wear outdoor shoes inside the flat
- keep the bathroom clean and dry (use mop after every use of the bath to dry the floor)
- silence after 22:00 o'clock (to let others sleep comfortably, we recommend to please avoid talking voicily, don't stomp in the flat and please avoid smashing the door) until 8:00 in the morning
- no smoking in the house or flat
- for 'how to use' questions read the house manual and guest access section of our description (space for preparing food, stove, fridge, microwave, oven) only some is available, depending on what type you book - if the "whole apartment for yourself" or only the "room with shared facilities"
- check out before the given time (10 a.m.)
Please, after every use of the bathroom, use the mop to swipe the floor. It dries then better and looks nicer also to you or to other guests who might use the bath after you.
We do not smoke inside the flat. We do not smoke anywhere in the house. Only in the park in front of the house. You have to take the key, go by elevator down stairs and then out, in front of the building.
We also do not drink inside the flat and do not take any kind of drugs. No marijuana or other stuff.
Guests of AirBnB are not permitted to invite anyone who does not pay to stay in the flat during the period of accommodation.
This is really strict - no parties are allowed to not disturb the other guests in the home and the other inhabitants of the whole house.
After 22:00 p.m. the silence is a law in the whole country so even the police can be called by the neighbours.
Do not make noise before 8:00 in the morning and keep it totally quiet after 22:00 in the night.
Do not leave private belongings (also no trash or other things) in the shared area. The big trash bins are in the backyard of the house behind the elevator down stairs.
Thank you for reading it all and paying attention. Enjoy your stay! :D
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.

Hello, Werni here.
I like literature - classic books from Bulgakov or Marquese, but also Neil Gaiman and modern Chinese literature. I am half Czech half German so interculture learning and understanding is another one of my passions. I do provide training on that on international workshops and seminaries. Arts and especially music is another thing i love and do every day - singing, playing the guitar.
And i love my city. My mother was a tourguide, so if you need to know anything about where to go and how to enjoy the time here - just ask me.
The best thing you can do in Prague is actually this: get lost, forget where you are and follow your nose - i guess, you will not be dissapointed and the experiences you gain during "wondering nonsencely" around are usually one of the best ones.
So far about me :)
