Cottage No.8 with its quirky garden, is nestled in the quaint village of Egerton, in the centre of the area known as The West Pennine Moors. The delightful stone cottage dates back 150 years and includes everything you need for a wonderful break, in a beautiful countryside location. Within walking distance of great pubs and bistros it is an ideal base for exploring the whole of Lancashire and having the added benefit of being only 12 miles from City Centre Manchester and Salford Quays

The space
Situated on a quiet cobbled street the cottage is presently set up to accommodate up to four people and one well-behaved dog.

There is a King size bed in the large front bedroom and a smaller double in the room to the rear of the property. There is the option of using the large double bed settee in the lounge if guests would prefer separate sleeping areas.

The modern bathroom is fully tiled and includes a lovely deep bath (with overhead shower) perfect for a long soak after a day out walking/cycling.

Downstairs there is a fully equipped modern fitted kitchen with granite worktops and a large dining room with a sideboard where you will find games books and an OS map of the area.

The open plan lounge features a large stone fireplace with a cast iron electric log burner and a 43" smart TV - perfect for cosy nights in.

High-speed fibre optic wifi is provided (avg. 70mbps).

To the rear of the cottage is a stone flagged courtyard with an outside tap ideal for muddy boots and muddy dogs with a gate leading to the entry.

From the front door, across the cobbles is a shed, a small grassed area and a winding stone path leading to steps to the mosaic patio and firepit. The small summer house (with lights and electricity supply) then opens out onto a secret outdoor terrace overlooking a shallow stream.
