Welcome to GLAMPING at ThorneBrook Farms!

Set on a working grass-based farm, our site offers a 14x16 canvas tent, queen bed, an outdoor shower, and a washing sink. A camp stove + propane are included.

Glamp tent supports a family of 4 (one queen bed + two cots).

A porta-john is at the camp site March through October.

The space
We've provided a 14x16(!!!) canvas tent complete with a queen bed, two cots, private outdoor 3-season shower, wash sink, a firepit + swivel grill, hammock, camp stove, walking trails, and cooking gear, plates, etc.

You only need to bring your clothes, food, and a few other items for your stay!

**Note - guests using the cots will need to bring their own sleeping bags, pillows, blankets.**

Campsite grounds include a fire pit, hammock, and dog lead. Landscape lighting is scattered about the camp area for better lighting at night. Walking trails with bench seating surround the site.

There is no wifi at the campsite. However, if needed, you may park towards the house and access our guest wifi for temporary use.

House broken, well behaved & well kept dogs are welcome to the farm. We ask that they be up to date on rabies shots and flea/tick treatments. A dog bed and water/food bowls are provided inside the glamping tent. All dogs must be on a leash and should not be left unattended at the campsite nor left behind for the day. Muddy pups are not allowed in the tent. A dog lead is provided at the campsite for your convenience. We also do not allow aggressive breeds of dogs on property (pit bulls, etc.) Absolutely no pets on any furniture.

Our campsite offers complete privacy in the woodlands of our farm. We won't be in your hair beyond a quick meet & greet to point you in the direction of the site.

THE BACKSTORY:

We are Brooks and Jil Davis. We are 1st generation farmers practicing our skills since 2006. In 2017, we bought a really cool abandoned farm to call our own and started the task of renovating it. The home dates back to the 1850s and we are only the 3rd family to own it!

The house once served as the post office (& hotel at times) for the area from 1856 - 1955 and it's also rumored that it once was a boarding school. A railroad ran in front of our home until the early 1900s; that railway is now the current Route 13 (or Old Buckingham Road).

We've completed the first phase of house renovations, built farm infrastructure for our livestock, and are now offering you an opportunity to stay here on the farm. With many more projects to come, we hope that over time our property will become more and more of a haven & fun place to stay for our guests.

Traveler at heart, I love to see all of the spaces and faces God has to offer. I'm the host for our Glamp Camp called Poplar Hill, a blogger/writer, accountant, farmer + the wife of a cattleman. I'm a wannabe chef and definitely a foodie of all things local, organic, and grassfed. I appreciate those who shop local and support small business.

I love beautiful places, open fields, woodland cottages, and especially a-frames in the mountains (where I think God did His best work). They are my heartbeat.

Hiking and 90s pop music are a must as are sunrises with coffee and sunsets with wine, good cheese, & jazz.
