The room is incredible and transforms you back to another era. Everything is authentic and the great thing is that you are sleeping below the famous wine cave of Terra Jovia where the Primitivo wine is bottled before export. We both loved the whole property, from the pink blossom that leads you up the drive, to the gorgeous family chapel and rooster that strolls around the garden as if he is the boss. Rena and her brother Phillipo are fabulous people and attend to your every needs, all you need to do is ask. Ii forgot to say that Gio del Colle is a very practical place to stay to visit Puglia as it is central to Matera, Alberobello, Monopoly, Castellano, Bari, etc....all of our excursions took less than an hour. Hope this info helps, Best regards Sue and Steve

Rina and her brother Filipo produce and sell all over the world their exquisite Primitivo wine which you can taste and buy at their beautiful villa. Rina's hospitality is exceptional and the suite is a very large room with a comfortable super kingsize bed, large wardrobe, 2 sofas and an ensuite bathroom which had excellent shower pressure. The attention to detail immediately made us feel at home and breakfast was delicious. One evening during our stay we ate Rina's Puglian 3 course vegetarian meal, it was scrumptious. Right next door to the villa is the best best pizza restaurant around and the villa is within walking distance to the town of Gioia del Colle. This is an excellent base to visit the 1400 stone beehive trulli dwellings of Alberobello, the ancient town of Monopoli, the white city of Ostuni, Trani, Polignano and the UNESCO caves in the town of Matera. We left Rina's villa with happy hearts and full bellies.

We stayed 4 nights at this accommodation and could have enjoyed many more, it is a unique 'suite' just as described by Rina but you have to experience it to appreciate what a gem it really is. Rina and her brother Filipo are the very best of hosts providing great service and some delicious local produce for both breakfast and dinner, we ate 2 evening meals whilst there, where we tasted local cheeses, meats, oils, wine and Rinas' homemade chutneys, cake and bread. This part of Italy is rural and unspoilt with lots to see, so this accommodation provides the perfect base.

Rina was great! The room (suite?) was exactly as described on the website and we had a real "WOW" moment when we entered. From the electric gates, the tree lined driveway, the fabulous old building to the amazing room with beautiful furnishings (& a great shower) this was a great way to end our Italian holiday. The Pizzeria right next door was excellent but we also found many other fine choices in the town, which is only a very short stroll away. This was a perfect location to visit the local sights - the "Trulli" in Alberobello & the "Sassi" in Matera to name but two. We would definitely go back when we return to Puglia.

Parfait!
