Darren and Nadene were such kind hosts. They always made sure that we were okay, even making us breakfast in the morning and spending time talking to us. They were very kind and the place was a beautiful place to wake up to.

My boyfriend & I were looking for a weekend getaway from the city. We found the perfect location here at Warbler's Roost. It was quiet, serene & beautiful. We even managed to go kayaking one morning, which was incredible on the quiet lake! Hosts Darren & Nadene were great at providing us with information on local trails along with Algonquin Trails (they even informed us of hunting season, which we were not aware of) as well as other hiking suggestions. Breakfast was delicious & filling, smell of coffee was simply the best after a great night sleep. We enjoyed that the place was neat & tidy & has an amazing view outside in the living room (pictures don't do it justice !) All in all we were thoroughly impressed & will be returning , hoping to stay longer next time. Definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for quiet, peaceful , nature filled stay ! Darren & Nadene are quick at replying back & are super friendly & helpful. Thank you kindly for your hospitality.

If you need some uninterrupted time away from the city to wind down or get some work done, this is the place! Warbler’s roost is located in a tranquil setting in the centre of nature with all the comforts of home, including WiFi throughout the inn. I particularly enjoyed reading my book while lazing on the sofa in the large common room with a cathedral ceiling overlooking the lake; as the sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, it was a very uplifting way to begin a cold wintry day. Clean and newly renovated, the inn is much more spacious than I expected. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and well-equipped with both a desk and a table for enjoying a snack. Darren and Nadene are awesome hosts - very welcoming and responsive to guests’ schedules and needs. I awoke to the aroma of coffee at the time I prearranged with Nadene, and found a nice spread of breads, condiments, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, and beverages laid out for breakfast in the enclosed porch. For a very reasonable fee, your hosts will even provide transportation to and from the stop in town if you need to travel by bus. I can’t wait to make a return trip in the summer!

I wanted to get away from the city and found a nice location to relax! Warbler’s Roost is spacious, modern, clean and tidy. Cottage country with all the amenities: WiFi, indoor plumbing, and warm cozy space for the cold winter nights. Hosts Darren and Nadene are very pleasant and helpful, and interesting people. Breakfast was laid out in the large common room (that has big south-facing windows and wide view including the lake) with a nice selection of breads, cereal, fruit, beverages, and condiments. We even went out snowshoeing (my first time in decades) along a trail down to the frozen lake! I will recommend Warbler’s Roost to my friends.
