Neighbourhood highlights

The Tin Church enjoys breathtaking views to the west, flanked by birch woodland. A burn gurgles into the Findhorn nearby. Although there are neighbours, you would not know they were there.

The original church, delivered as flat pack, was built in 1903 to serve Tomatin distillery and the railway workers. Part of family history, the church was dismantled in 2019 and the replica became part of the special building it is now.

Locally there is great walking, cycling, ornithological interest and fishing (by arrangement). Within a short distance there are golf, water and winter sports.

Robert and I are arable and livestock farmers just outside Cambridge. Robert's mother grew up on the Balnespick Estate near Tomatin, Inverness-shire. The Tin Church is a firm part of his family history and was moved in 2020. The project was completed in April 2021. We love the tranquillity of this place, the wildlife and the scenery on our walks.
