My husband and I had a wonderful time with Paul and Sharon at their farm and vineyard. The location was divine- completely secluded and peaceful yet under an hour from the heart of the wine region (and Sydney). We enjoyed a lovely romantic break: The outdoors, fresh air and a glass of wine from Paul and Sharon's vineyard whilst gazing at the stars round the log fire was perfect for us (we were able to see Jupiter, Saturn and the Milky Way). We felt thoroughly looked after with home baked cookies on arrival and a breakfast cooked by Sharon every morning (the muffins and honey butter were divine). The beds were comfortable too with real cotton sheets. We slept so well. Also worth asking if you can bring the kids- Paul agreed to let our toddler (18 months) and baby join us. Our baby slept so well and our toddler thought he was on old Macdonald's farm (!). There is some heavy machinery to watch out for but it was perfect for them. As a stud farm/horse riding location/vineyard there were no cockerels waking us up at 5am. Just the fun stuff- my son loved petting the horses and dogs and visiting the cows. We even saw some kangaroo. Paul also has a blue tractor which our toddler thought was the best thing ever. We'll always remember our farm stay with Paul and Sharon. If you can- book it!

We stayed in Paul’s place with a 5 year old. We enjoyed the stay. My favourite was the tent outside, best place to sleep during spring and summer. My daughter’s vote goes to the animals.

We have stayed at many airbnb places in many countries but Paul's place was the best place by far. We feel lucky to have come across his place and would recommend to anyone that needs a place to stay when going for a trip nearby e.g. Hunter Valley. Thanks again Paul for the great hospitality and the fantastic wine!

Paul & Sharon are just the loveliest people, and so accomodating! Their property is so beautiful and so much to see, plus the animals are all so friendly from the smallest little dog to the horses! If you are thinking about staying at fernances creek farm, don't think twice! It has everything for a perfect weekend away. Couldn't recommend it enough! We will be back for sure

It was great experience for our short stay. Owner was very nice, and showed us different horse types, and that was great fun for all of us, especially for kids. We cooked our brunch, enjoyed it with the sunshine, enchanted in this picturesque moment.

I am from the Hunter Valley near Sydney in Australia. My family and I breed Haflinger horses and produce Sangiovese Brunello Wine.
