Set in the grounds of our farm, the beautifully modernised original farmhouse provides a tranquil place to relax with friends and family. Enjoy the light, spacious kitchen, cosy up in the study or sip a G&T by the woodburning stove in the more formal sitting room. In summer, barbecue in the garden whilst watching cows graze in the fields beyond. Visit the seaside, go shopping in Norwich, or hire a boat for the day on the broads. Children will love Banham Zoo, Bewilderwood or the Dinosaur Park.

The space
With its stone floors and original beams, this charming farmhouse has been renovated to an exceptional standard, providing a luxurious and tranquil space to relax and have fun in the amazing county of Norfolk. With comfortable, flexible accommodation, it is the perfect choice for family and friends alike.

Inside, enjoy the cosy study for TV nights, or dress up and have drinks around the wood-burning stove in the more formal sitting room. From the spacious, light kitchen with its large dining area, you can spill out into the garden to enjoy the views, relax on the terrace and allocate Head Chef for the bespoke made barbecue. There are four double bedrooms and one single. Two of the doubles have en suite shower rooms, and two are flexible for twin beds. There is a large family bathroom which has a bath and shower.

Set on our working farm in South Norfolk, we are just 20 minutes from Snetterton race track, Banham Zoo and Bressingham Steam Museum. Go a bit further afield and you can take a boat trip on the Broads, go crazy at Bewilderwood or Go Ape, or relax on one of the many beaches - all within an hour's drive from here. You can also visit Norwich Cathedral and take in a bit of shopping!

Here, you have the benefit of being in a rural setting whilst being well placed to visit key attractions in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Guest access
You need a car for your holiday here, and there is ample parking for three vehicles. If a stray youngster needs to reach you by train they would come to Diss railway station which is a 10-minute drive.

Long Stratton is a couple of miles away with a decent Co-op and lots of take-aways. There are nice pubs in the area, and Norwich has many great restaurants.

Other things to note
There is super-fast broadband in this property!

Neighbourhood highlights

The nearby market towns of Harleston, Bungay, Halesworth and Diss offer shops, cafes and restaurants. Diss has a train station with direct links to London, Norwich and the coastal villages. The city of Norwich is just 15 miles away with two indoor shopping malls, cathedral, castle museum, market square, theatre, cafes and many restaurants.

The Norfolk and Suffolk coastline with sandy beaches are within an hours’ drive. Traditional seaside resorts such as Great Yarmouth offer plenty of family seaside fun. Southwold is a great traditional seaside town with a pier. You’ll find sandy beaches backed with dunes at Winterton, Gorleston and Caister on sea.
The Waveney Valley and Norfolk Broads offer great boating activity. Hire your own day boat, try canoeing or kayaking. With miles and miles of inland waterways, rich with bird life, they are well worth exploring. Market towns and boat hire are available in Beccles and Bungay within a 30 minute drive. Wroxham is known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, with waterside cafes, shops and boating activity.

We have some great local pubs, but you do need a car to access them.

I live with my husband Eric on a small farm in South Norfolk, where we have a mixed herd of cattle, a few sheep, chickens, horses and dogs! We are always busy, and I like walking my dog, reading and creative writing for relaxation.
