Join the locals at one of the three ouzeries on the harbor side for a pre-dinner ouzo which will be served with a little meze dish - often feta cheese and olives or charcoal grilled fish or octopus. Then you can choose your main meal at one of the many harbor side tavernas - all offering a good choice of meat, fish and vegetable dishes using local produce. There is often a local specialty dish on offer.
You can easily walk to one of the many sandy beaches. ''Lendou'' is the nearest, less than 5 minutes walk away over the headland or you can visit the ''Katsadia'' taverna, open in high season. ''Plati Yialos'' has a wonderful bay with turquoise water and an excellent taverna. If you go to ''Monodendri'', or one of the other coves, make the most of the day and take your own picnic.
