About this listing
Karuskose is a historical farm in the middle of floodplain meadow of Raudna river and is well known landmark because of the famous 5th season floods. From here you can go further by using hiking trails or with canoe to explore Soomaa National Park.
Karuskose is one of the oldest farms in the region and it's location is spectacular. In the end of the road, on a meandering riverside you will find the suspension bridge, which is the only access way. From here starts Ingatsi hiking trail to Estonian biggest bog.
There is a smoke sauna, outdoor kitchen and endless places for camping.
Interaction with guests
Sometimes we are at home, sometimes not. Depends on the season and timing.
Other things to note
As kayakers, we travel a lot and we like to have someone in our home meanwhile. However we do not want to come back and start cleaning and fixing somebody's mess.
Take your garbage with you when leaving - here in woods there are no services.
Using smoke sauna and canoes has to be prearranged.
No smoking indoors.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund plus service fees back.
I have lived in different countries but surprisingly Soomaa is my choice for now. We run a company called Sea Kayaking Estonia and I work as wilderness guide. When I'm not paddling - I'll show you the best kept secrets of Soomaa.
