A stylish, tranquil and welcoming home-away-from home in heart of Sydney's most beautiful, bustling inner city suburbs! This place suits the refined traveller as much as the meticulous professional in need of a quiet oasis in this fabulous town!

The space

Hello lovely Airbnb Community!

I usually live at this address, so to view the many reviews left by gorgeous visitors in the past for this place and previous listings of mine, please check out the identical listing... (only difference, they rented a room in my apartment rather than the whole space as you will be :) )! https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/4367658

Your possible accommodation is a charming art-deco apartment with lots of natural light and timber floors throughout in the very heart of Sydney's finest, leafy and ever-bustling central suburbs!

As mentioned above, this area is leafy, lovely, light-filled and much loved by locals and visitors alike, as it really does showcase the best of Sydney's urban lifestyle that is as close to our beaches, as it is to our famous harbour! From young families, to professionals of all kinds - bloggers and celebrities to art historians... everyone mixes and matches among the outdoor cafes and lively main streets of the eastern suburbs!

People here are welcoming and always as delighted to share their inside scoops on the latest additions to the community, as they are happy to point you in the direction of old-favorites!

Here, you will never be lost for places to eat extraordinarily well, day or night, cafes and bars to frequent, shops or art galleries to explore or park benches to just sit, read and watch this colourful world go by!
I have put together a neighbourhood guide for you in this listing, as well as having collected maps and leaflets for all sorts of activities and destinations you might like to visit during your stay that await you in person... and... needless to say, as a happy and enthusiastic local, I will gladly give you my honest, experience based personal ratings on any ventures you might already have planned!

The apartment is ideally located directly on Sydney's famous Oxford Street with busses to the CBD centre or Bondi Beach in either direction in 15minutes or less...! It's a brilliant spot - all you need is an Opal Card and you are on your way 24 hours a day / 7 days a week in this prime spot!
If you would like to check out the exact routes the 380/333 and stop right on your doorstep! These routes take you either to Bondi Junction Interchange or directly to Town Hall where you can hop on a train to just about anywhere!

It is really easy to catch public transport from the airport - if you are up to it after your flight! You can get front the international or domestic terminal to my place in about 35 mins!

From the Airport, a taxi to the city can be quite expensive... Depending on the route and time of day, there are road and tunnel tolls to be paid, so if you'd rather avoid the $60-80 dollar fare (and the traffic!) its best to hop on the Airport Link train directly at the airport terminal (you will see the signs!) and get off at Museum Station in the CBD.
If you are planning to use the busses and trains in Sydney, you just buy an OPAL CARD at the airport which is valid for all busses, trains and ferries! The airport fee is $12.60 in addition to the regular train fair, so make sure you put enough money on the card it when you load it initially.
Hop on the train to Museum station.
From there, you catch a bus or if thats all too much to deal with after a long flight, just hail a taxi from the city and you will be at our place in less than 10 mins ($15-20)…!

If you are catching the bus, there are 3 direct routes that will take you to the doorstep! From the stop on the corner of Elizabeth and Oxford Street (where you emerge from Museum Station) you catch the M40, 380 or 333 directly to the very top of Oxford Street! If you tell the driver you are wanting to get off on the corner of Queen Street and Oxford, he will certainly tell you when to do so!
Alternatively, TripView is a fantastic free smart phone app to help you with public transport in Sydney. You can track where you are on the satellite map as you go!

House Rules

All I ask is that you treat this little home-away-from-home as you would your own. That pretty much says it, I think, as living in place you give care to and treat responsibly makes everybody happy. :)

As it's a vegetarian household, please understand that the kitchen is, too.
No red meat, chicken, fish or seafood please either in the fridge or on our stove. (Dairy and eggs are fine, just in case you were wondering.)

I want you to ensure you have a really great time whilst here, but seeing as I am often out and about, I need to be sure I know who has access to the house and who is here at all times. Therefore, I ask you to please understand that I have a strict no guest policy. If you would like to invite a friend over, please feel free to have a chat about it. More likely than not, I'll be delighted, but I absolutely need to know beforehand, as I am sure you can understand.
