About this listing
Our guesthouse is a serene space above our yoga studio "Open Sky Yoga Barn." Bordered by 100 acres of open land beyond the deck, a sacred, tranquil energy abounds ... peace, calm, magic. Best for a couple yet 2 kids can use the single day bed with a pull out single mattress.
The guesthouse is secluded and private, a true retreat from our fast paced society - a great getaway from NYC only 1.5 hours away. It is located over our yoga studio -- so when classes are in session we ask for you to be respectful and very quiet. You are welcome to join regular classes for free if you choose. The regular weekly schedule includes morning classes on Mondays, Thursdays & Saturdays. Please inquire about additional class times & events prior to your booking as we host monthly Guided Meditations, JourneyDance and seasonal concerts, films and workshops. For these extra (non weekly) events regular fees or donations apply.
There are hiking trails and lots of open space to enjoy on the property including the Little River Trail & Preserve. The space is set up as a restorative space for relaxation, self-reflection, restoration. When there are no classes and the studio is not being used in another fashion, feel welcome to take your personal yoga/meditation practice downstairs and roll your mat out in front of the beautiful candlelit alter. There is a large, private sun drenched deck out the apartment door facing the forest, where wildlife activity abounds. Find yourself here star-gazing, birdwatching, or meditating in nature. There is an infrared sauna on site guests are welcome to use. There are basic kitchen necessities; cooking utensils, pot, pan, oil, vinegar, some spices, plates, cutlery, coffee and tea. There is laundry soap, dish soap and cleaning supplies. There is limited cell service on the property, however, at the end of the driveway and certain parts of the property it comes into full use.
