Surround yourself with fields and woodland, and enjoy fun, sociable spaces in this family friendly home set on a hill, just outside Auchenblae, and within over an acre of garden. A warming aga, Den, Snug, sociable kitchen and dining area make for places to retreat or to come together. With trails through woodland that stretches all the way to Stonehaven (a 20 min drive away) and St Cyrus and Stonehaven beaches close at hand there is plenty of outdoor activity to be enjoyed.

The space
Mid Coullie Cottage was once part of a small farm halfway up the hill, the 'Coullie'. Surrounded by emerald and golden fields as far as the eye can see, mist shrouded woodlands hug the top of the hill and a beautiful expanse of beach lies on the other side of the valley at St. Cyrus. Stonehaven is close at hand for outdoor swimming, paddle boarding, award winning pubs, restaurants and cafes. With Aberdeen and many a castle and gardens less than an hour away there is plenty to stimulate the senses and imagination. With cosy interiors, underfloor heating, an acre of garden with beautiful views, birdsong, barbecue, fire pit and plenty to keep the kids entertained, you may just want to stay home and enjoy the hill.

Guest access
- The cabin at the edge of the plot is used by an artist. There may be a car up there from time to time but everyone is welcome to wander around the top part of the garden even though it appears separate.

- Coullie Woods, leading to Drumtochty Woods, which stretch as far as Stonehaven, is a treasure for mountain biking enthusiasts and dog walkers alike. It's at the top of the hill, a ten minute walk from Mid Coullie Cottage.

- The cottage is accessed up a fairly rough farm track. Please take your time!

- The Spud Hut, selling the local farmer's delicious produce (and crisps!) is a couple of minutes drive from Mid Coullie. A larger selection is available at their Farm to Table shop a few minutes drive from here. Enjoy more local produce and a good meal at the Castleton Farm Shop, also a short drive from the cottage.

Other things to note
Stonehaven is close at hand for outdoor swimming, paddle boarding, award winning pubs, restaurants and cafes. With Aberdeen and many a castle and gardens less than an hour away there is plenty to stimulate the senses and imagination.
