Over the winter months come and enjoy the wonderful Sea Room. Connect with elemental Iona at it’s best and spend quiet evening eating, reading, talking, thinking. You will share the large kitchen / common room and shower-rooms with a few other travellers who might be staying too.

During the short winter days walk in the Great Silence, sea swim - or maybe just stay in bed with a book as the wild wind sweeps the island.

The space
Set on the working Croft of Lagandorain the Sea Room is a large and comfortable apartment which can sleep up to 8 in the summer months. An eco build with Gold Star eco-accreditation it is a unique and homely place to relax. Set well back from the road is is only a three minute walk across the grass to the beach.

There are tatty old Persian rugs, bits of old boat, far too many books and no TV. As a concession to the modern world it has great WiFi, is spotlessly clean, people seem to love it - an it’s in paradise.

The big bedroom sleeps four, in two bunk beds and a comfy kingsize double that can divide into two singles.

Where you’ll be

Iona, Scotland, United Kingdom

The Sea Room is situated on the Croft of Lagandorain (The hollow of the otter). The Croft stretches from the top of Dun I to the shore and is known for its rich biodiversity and unspoiled beauty. Next to the Sea Room is a small developing native woodland which has won awards. Nestled into the machair, you can walk barefooted to the shore in three minutes or so.
