The space

This is for a large typical Parisian apartment of about 750sf, on the 5th floor (with elevator). In addition to the bedroom, there is a living/guest room, a dining room/study, kitchen and bath/toilet.
All rooms are exceptionally bright with open views onto the ever so picturesque roofs of Paris, a rare perk that comes from being located on the 5th floor (with elevator) with only a short building across the street.

THIS APARTMENT SUITS BEST CAT LOVERS, AS THE OWNER HAS ONE CATS. HOWEVER, THE CAT COULD BE PLACED WITH FRIENDS FOR STAYS EXCEEDING TWO WEEKS.

The apartment is very well appointed and features wood flooring, classic moldings, wood-burning fireplaces and large French windows throughout, in true Parisian style. The rooms are fitted with external shutters and blackout curtains which allow for darkness yet still let you sleep with windows open on a warm summer night. The balconies are nicely planted and watered with an automatic sprinkler system, so no work required. There is a compact dishwasher in the kitchen, and lastly, a secure door will keep your belongings safe.

The apartment building was built in the 1900s, and is situated on a quiet street of the sought after ‘upper-Marais’ (le haut-Marais) in the 3rd district of Paris. It is a destination for many hip shoppers looking for independent retailers, gifts stores, art galleries and fashion showrooms or for just strolling the quaint streets of the neighborhood. The apartment is just two short blocks from the famous rue de Bretagne known for its butcher shop, fish monger, bakers, patisseries and cafes. Most shops and restaurants are also open on Sunday. The closest subway stops are Arts & Métiers, Filles du Calvaire, République, Rambuteau and Hotel de Ville.

Other features of the neighbourhood include the Centre Pompidou, the Musée Picasso, the Musée Cognacq-Jay, the Musée Carnavalet and the "Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature".

Price is slightly higher during fashion weeks as the apartment is only a few steps from most of the important showrooms.
