I didn't really see my hosts often because I was out most of the time. But Shreya's mom was lovely and offered help if I needed anything. The room was comfortable and clean, and the house close to frequent transit.
I only stayed two nights at Shreya's and I was out most of the time. However, the house was very clean and everybody in her family was super nice. It takes 40-50 minutes to get to downtown Toronto from the house but it's easy to get around :)
We didn't meet Shreya, but her mom was a wonderful host. We loved the spontanious conversations and all the advises that we get about traveling around the world. And the bed was great!
It's absolutely the great place you would love to stay. It's the place that you feel very comfortable and feeling like home. Shreya's mom is very helpful. She's a warm lady who will help you whatever she can. I highly recommend it!
The bed was quite comfortable, although we often hurt ourselves on the corners of the bed because it's big and you don't have that much room to walk around it if the fan is blocking the way. It's not exactly in Toronto but in York, which is okay, you have to take a bus and the s…
Response from Shreya:
Thanks Alyssa, feedback is always welcomed. Just going to make it more clear to other readers: TTC daypass of $12 covers 2 adults in Toronto just over the weekends or one person over the weekdays for $12. If not having the day pass, you can still take the bus, by paying once at either inside the bus or at the subway station...for an instance, you take the bus and pay the fare, the bus driver will give you the transfer which is to use at other bus/or at the subway station. The bus drops at the location at the subway station, where you technically don't have to go through the ticket counter and just take the train you wish to take. Vice-vera if you take the bus from the subway. No one has walked earlier from the station to home, sorry to hear that you had to do this perhaps you could have asked someone around at the station or home to make it more convenient for yourself. I always offer help and travelers are also well researched about the place they are visiting and gets the answered for any doubtful situation. Washroom is shared, as mentioned on the listing and after reading about the place, people only decide to book. Many people have booked the room as couples and have been fine. Being on the tight scheduled, you used the other washroom as we realized and asked if you were waiting after waking up at 11 a.m and had to leave before 12. At times only, some guests tend to take longer time and we inform them to be courteous in time or offer the second washroom to be used to resolve any inconveniences( the best we can do). Host not necessarily have to be home for questions to be answered or you to wait, we communicate via messages to answer any questions. AIRBNB is definitely not a hotel experience, it offers it's own comfort or requires some corporation. I am glad that you got to sleep well and overall enjoyed your stay which was important to us and appreciative of you. Thank you for choosing to stay, Alyssa and have taken your feedback into the consideration and will do the needful as required.
