The space
Each Banda is uniquely named and interiored based on its individual characteristics. Our 8 Banda's are named: Mangrove, Coral, Deep Sea, Dunes, Sunset, Sunrise, Tide and Night.

Each Banda is spacious and spaced well from the other.

Since we're located on a remote side of the island, there lots of space to wander and explore at KIZINGO

Lamu County, Kenya

Kipungani is a remote island with little to no amenities, accessible by a 30 minute speed boat from Lamu, 20 minutes by Bodaboda (motorbike taxi) from Shela or a 3-5 hour walk from Shela.

It is inhabited by the local community whom are primarily members of Kipungani village and are sustained by fishing, weaving, and the hospitality industry.

The community is warm and friendly and asks you to kindly respect their customs and traditions of modesty and consideration when paying them a visit.
