This has to be the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at. Nice quiet neighborhood, great people, and convenient to everything. The house was beautiful, everything you need and more. We especially liked the outside deck area. Coming from Florida we spent a lot of our days outside in the nice temperature air of 74. Would most definitely stay here again, and have referred it all of my friends. Thank you again so much.. Regina

It was very nice. Betsy's mom welcomed us and she was very nice. The house was clean and organized and we had a really great time.

This was our second time staying at Betsy's lovely home. We were delighted to return, having remembered it as great the first time, and we were equally pleased this time! Clean, attractive, welcoming and gracious, great communication, friendly but not obtrusive -- everything we needed! Thank you for another wonderful stay!

This was a VERY comfortable place to stay. We had a warm welcome and a detailed explanation of the neighborhood/ where to park, tour of the home, etc. The beds were comfortable, everything was VERY clean/ well-equipped, and the neighborhood is safe, pretty, and walkable. It's only a few minutes away from a gourmet grocery store, and my teenager loved walking to several coffee shops in the neighborhood to just check them out. It's also very close to a playground for elementary aged children. The apartment is as nice as it looks in the pictures: lots of vintage charm and arty details that made it a pleasant stay. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Betsy's house was comfortable and charming, and located steps away from parks, restaurants, grocery, and the beach! We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved the Shorewood area and that the house is just a short walk to Lake Michigan which was beautiful. You can walk up and down N. Lake Drive, see beautiful homes, and hit at least three lakefront parks/beaches. Downtown Milwaukee is just 5 miles away. This home was built around 1920 and has all the charm of a house this age. It is nicely decorated and clean with all the comforts of home. Jeanne greeted us on arrival and was very helpful. We had the opportunity to meet Betsy too and both are simply delightful. We really enjoyed grilling on the roof top deck and just hanging out. The Metro Market is a 2-3 block walk for groceries and everything you could want or need. A beautiful store and very cool place! In addition to Summerfest, we also enjoyed the Lakefront Brewery, the authentic German Beer Garden at Estabrook Park (complete with beer, food and Polka music), seeing the Basilica of St. Josaphat, touring the Pabst Family Mansion, and the Harley-Davidson Museum. Our favorite brunch spot is the Plaza Hotel. Just a couple of quick mentions for those who may be interested: the hardwood floors squeak a little, the bathroom is small, and there is no dishwasher. BUT, none of this bothered the two of us in the least. The charm of this home, the neighborhood, and gracious hosts far outweigh these minor mentions.

Both Betsy and Jeanne are friendly and accommodating people! My parents and I settled in at ease, and so attentive to anything we might be in need of! I recommend anyone looking for a lovely area among Greater Milwaukee, your best bet might be st Betsy's. Whole Foods is 5mins drive away, with local boulangeries and coffee shops around corners.

Hiya! Thanks for checking out my place!

A bit about me... I'm optimistic and outgoing. I love meeting new people and --- thus, I have a wonderful group of friends - far and wide. My friendships mean the world to me and I visit friends as often as possible - in many of the different places I've lived.

I'm a bit of a rolling stone and lived LOTS of places (Boston, NY, Chicago, LA and Seattle to name a few. I am very happy to be settled in Milwaukee. To me, Milwaukee is the perfect city... I heard a great quote on our local independent station 88.9 (check it out!) that said "There are 2 kinds of people who hate Milwaukee... People who have never been here, and people who never left". I love exploring all the great new restaurants (happy to give you a list of cool places to try). Every time I come home, I remember why I love Milwaukee (yes, even in February!). Milwaukee is a great place to call home.

About 3 years ago, I quit my paycheck job to start a business. It's growing and I'm enjoying the freedom of creating my own destiny! I'm passionate about helping people and my work in one way I am doing that.

Passionate about:
Films! I am a big film buff. I go to a few film festivals every year. If it's subtitled, depressing, confusing and dark -- count me in! I'll go see a good popcorn movie now and then, too. Telluride Film Festival is my favorite. I lived in Telluride, CO --- and it remains one of my favorite places on the planet. There's a million things to do: hiking, biking, enjoying music and sunshine (and watching films in the dark).

Volunteering! I'm a Big Sister in the Big Brother / Big Sister Program in Milwaukee. My Little Sister is 11 years old. We hang out a couple times / month. She's a good kid and reminds me to stop and smell the cotton candy.
